I am having the same problem, getting the following when I trying adding a doc.

Error: Unable to move file.
SP:/tmp/php16JZfg
DP:/homepages/44/d104908039/modules/dms/dms_repository/1/1/1/1000001.dat

I have confirmed that folder and file perms are at 777, and I have applied the changes to the 2 files suggested (folder_new and file_new).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Election Tracking Module

Module to track projected results and actual election day results, like for the 2004 Presidential election. Could be used to track any race...school president, state/county races, who's the best Halo player (id10t is, by the way ), etc...

Was wondering if such a beast exists, if one is being developed, and if not if someone would be interested in creating one. Unfortunately I do not have the talent, nor the time, to learn module development.

What I envision is a module that either gets a feed (from somewhere?) or can be entered in admin module of the state-by-state projections and then actual results. Display would be on a map of US color coded by which candidate is projected to win/leading/won the state (if not a map, then a table). A summary view would tally up the popular vote and the electorial results for each candidate and display the numbers needed to win.

Thanks...

Very nice!!! I really like all of your work...everything you produce is sharp and "clean" (not cluttered). Keep up the good work...

J - Thanks! I figured it had been discussed before, and should be straight forward, but wanted to get the input of some others who have been doing this a lot longer than I have. I'm still a little timid on doing new things. I'll do some more digging before I jump in.

If you can think of anything else, please let me know.

Multiple XOOPS installs with 1 MySql DB?

I want to install another XOOPS site to use as a test site. My host only provides me 1 MySql db. Currenly I am using only 2.5 MB of 100 MB capacity in the db. The tables are all prefaced XOOPS_ . MySQL v4.0.20, and PHP v4.3.8.

Are there any issues or problems installing a 2nd (or even more) XOOPS site with the same MySql db?

Thanks!

Help w/Headlines, please

I can not get Xoopsheadline or Headlines-D to work at all. I've tried setting up multiple feeds and can never get anything at all to feed. No error message, no nothing! I've tried extensively to get feeds from NPR.org and Yahoo News.

Don't know whether I am not setting them up correctly or what. I have found limited documentation on setup and configuration of these modules, but if anyone knows where I can get detailed documentation (for Noobs) please pass it on to me.

Can someone please do some screen caps or list of how you set up a working news feed? I'll try to duplicate it.

I just read an article indicating that php.ini/allow_url_fopen has to be ON for feeds to work. I checked and it is ON.

Thanks!
