resubmitted. really appreciate a concrete & practical suggestion for this. i'm not a coder.

blocking a user in accessing my website
one of the member of my XOOPS website keeps sending blank message, news, etc (abusing my website with blank messages).

it's really annoyed me. how can i trap his/her ip address? will it help to block him/her in accessing my website or there is a better way to achieve that?

many thanks for some inputs on this!

i am really glad to have XOOPS back online too! we are all addicted to XOOPS i guess..

as pod said, thanks to all of you who have worked so hard to bring this site back to normal! thank you (and a big bonus for us too: the XOOPS 2.2! yipiiii...)

ps. and mith managed to get his avatar changed too, during the process?!!

i support this (i think there have been a lot of discussion to have this 'key' module devepoled further and improved).

have tried that myself, giving up, express my gratitude and appreciation to all the developers, i don't have the skill to be a programmer

it's a question i believe has been raised by so many people (including myself ). i think it is something the cbb project team is working on at the moment: a conversion script from phpbb to newbb/cbb (not an easy task i believe). please check: cbb site. haven't had a chance to test the submitted conversion script there myself.

lots of people will have an upgrade path from a standalone bulletin board system (such as phpbb) to a cms (in this case xoops) i think. a conversion script for the above purpose will really help people considering upgrading their website from the standalone bb to xoops.

a user of my website abusing my website (by keep submitting blank article/news). how can i get his ip address, so i can block him accessing my website?

what is the different/advantage of this module compare to gijoe's emlh?

question:
if we apply this multilanguage feature, for example we offer 2 language: english and french, will it double the size of the webpage we return to the client (as the content size has technically been doubled)?

or the module will be smart enough to return the related content to the users?

i don't use the myreviews module. (seems that this module is not further developed anymore? why don't you use other article module, such as ams?)

anyway, have you updated the module after you do the changes (removing the //)?
