it's a question i believe has been raised by so many people (including myself
). i think it is something the cbb project team is working on at the moment: a conversion script from phpbb to newbb/cbb (not an easy task i believe). please check:
cbb site. haven't had a chance to test the submitted conversion script there myself.
lots of people will have an upgrade path from a standalone bulletin board system (such as phpbb) to a cms (in this case xoops) i think. a conversion script for the above purpose will really help people considering upgrading their website from the standalone bb to xoops.
