I use HostGator for my hosting which is a reseller of ThePlanet.com - Customer support is pretty good for the most part. Occasionally I have to beat them over the head with something.

You'll have to provide some more information about what exactly is going on when you try and access the admin area. I know that in the past several days, a number of my sites were hit and the admin area was affected. It is not difficult to fix this problem if your site was affected also.

There is a place in the debaser preferences where you can change the size of the file upload. That might help.

I would highly recommend that not all the lead people should be programmers. I think that the community as a whole would agree that our programmers need to be actively programming, not always handling the daily administrative or moderating duties. There are others with expertise in administration that could take on some of the duties.

As I mentioned before on another thread, I would love to work on either the add-ons (module repository) or the newsletter, which I think could be done to make people excited again about the direction XOOPS is/should be going.

Count me in!

Hi. You can download the latest upgrade package here. The upgrade is labeled as "xoops-2.0.14-to-2.0.16", but you will find explicit instructions for upgrading from versions 2.0.7 through 2.0.13 in the release notes.

Hope this helps!

I have worked with XOOPS for many years. And I have continued to do so, in spite of issues here on the main website. People have come and gone and come back again since I have been a member here.

Some of the things that I think would help restore some confidence in this project are administrative in nature. Grunt work - if you'd like to call it that. I would like to offer my services to help in some of those areas.

Here are some things that I have identified that I would be willing to help with if needed:

1. The module repository. Someone should head up a small "committee" or team that would be willing to go through all the modules. Ones that are no longer active can be archived - others that have newer versions can be updated and kept up to date when new versions are released. This would significantly lower the level of frustration of old and new users alike that are looking for working, stable modules. If one person could head this up, and "manage" a team working together, I think it would greatly enhance the XOOPS community as a whole.

2. The XOOPS Newsletter. Seriously, I think this needs to be resurrected and sent out regularly. There are many users that would be willing to share their expertise and tips for using Xoops. One person could coordinate a newsletter and/or manage a team of contributors, get the newsletter approved by someone, and email it to all users on a regular basis.

3. I would love to see the forums as an RSS feed. I am using an RSS reader more and more and love the flexibility it gives me to keep up with what's going on in categories I'm interested in. Any possibility of this?

As I stated before, I am more than willing to volunteer on any of these projects. I would rather spend some of my valuable time doing these administrative functions (which is my expertise) and free up the developers and programmers to do what they do best. And I know that there are others that would like to help too. How about letting someone else help organize community volunteers?

If anyone from the XOOPS dev or core team would like some help, please call on me.

I was hacked also. Didn't really see anything until I went and looked at the blocks. The hacker was able to insert a custom block into my XOOPS with a redirect to his website.

For the moment, I've shut down my website to see what I want to do.

I am using the latest version of XMMemberstats on one of my websites. I installed the newer version a couple of weeks ago. I was notified by one of the registered users of my site that the "member directory" was giving an error message. Sure enough, it was. Here is the error message:

records foundTable 'cwahm_dbase.cwahm_user_profile' doesn't exist

I turned on debug and there were no errors except this one that came up when the /modules/xmmemberstats/index.php page was called.

Everything else appears to work OK.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Well, I guess I'll reply to myself. I asked an online friend and she said that the 0.93 version is not out yet. In case anyone was wondering.
