newbb 4.05 beta bug

When accessing I get 2 "Thanks for your submission" popups without having posted.

I disabled defacer to see if it was the source of the double popup, and saw no difference.
The more I know, the more I know that I really didn't wanna know.

Protector errors showing in logs

Functionality is fine, but there are odd errors showing in my site logs:

[error] [client ?????????] File does not exist: /home/????/public_html/xoops-lib, referer:http://infernallogic.com/reguser/modules/protector/admin/index.php?page=advisory
(The above seems to be looking for the lib file in wrong location. the file is renamed as listed for safety of course.)

They may very well be manually registering.. Most captchas have been broken by software means as well.

There is no ultimate protection other than vigilance.

Publisher Error Blank Page

After upgrading to 2.5.3 and installing xmf and the latest publisher/newbb/tdmdownloads module updates, I get an error with the Publisher install that results in a blank page on the CMS home.

Debug info:
Fatal error: Class 'PublisherPublisher' not found in /home/?????/public_html/reguser/modules/publisher/include/functions.php on line 347
None All Errors (0) Deprecated (0) Queries (25) Blocks (9) Extra (8) Timers(5)

I'm shutting down Publisher to be sure thats the cause..

Yup, de-activating the module cured the blank screen...

This is somewhat dependent on just what SSL package you're working with.
To get a secure https connection (on my site anyway) all links in the page must be to "https" addresses, or you won't get a secure connection.

Your footer links all go to "http" addresses.

Thanks Trabis. I think this is going to be a non issue, as the modules I was testing are just copies of what I have online, and they are not latest versions..

NewBB and Publisher both have updated versions available, and Defacer will likely be fine as my mysql version online is:5.1.56.

XIM Installs fine, but admin gives "blank screen" so you can't set the footer or permissions.

The "Contact" Module installs with no problems.

The latest tdmdownloads installed fine but with no admin due to the admin module not being installed, but it looks to be fine.

Well shux, I just checked my registration and my recaptcha is broke. hehehehe
I just installed it a month or so ago..

So take my word for it with a tiny bit of salt.
