I've been working on the theme and the site for a few weeks now. I'd appreciate some comments.

Thanks!

Have you tried deleting all the files inside the /templates_c/ folder? Do not delete the folder, just the files inside.

I think that Google 'Fact' statement is a 'descriptive' include, i.e. it just lists some of the file types. It is not an 'exclusive' include, i.e. 'only includes these file types'.

As mentioned, there are only a few exceptions to what they are able to index. If asp and jsp are there, definitely php is there.

Th culprit for this problem is in the style.css file. Look for this:

td#centerCcolumn [b]div.blockContent[/b] {[color=CC0000]border-left: 1px solid #cccccc; border-right: 1px solid #cccccc; border-bottom: 1px solid #dddddd;[/color] padding: 3px; margin-right: 0px;  margin-left: 0px; margin-bottom: 2px; line-height: 120%;}

You can delete them or change them. Also look for the same parameters in the centerRcolumn and centerLcolumn.

You might need to bring the <td> outside the foreach loop because you will add one <td> for each link.

Your default view is probably "Threaded". At the top and bottom of the forums, you will see the word "Flat". Click on it.

To make this view your default, edit your profile.

To make this view the default for new users, go to System Admin -> Preferences -> General Settings, and choose the view for "Default Comment Display Mode".

Edit: Oops, I was not as quick on the draw as CBlue.

it is very important for me to show usergroups under rank or somewhere else in forum.

As a workaround, you can create custom user ranks. Go to System Admin -> User Ranks -> Add a New Rank. Make the new rank special so you can assign it irrespective of no. of posts.

However, you will have to assign the user rank one by one for each registered member from the Edit User Profile. Users cannot assign the rank themselves. If you have just a few members, this might not be a problem.

Also, you must remember that the User Ranks are independent of User Groups, i.e. they do not have anything to do with each other--just because you assigned a Webmaster Rank to a user, it does not mean he belongs to the Webmaster Group, and vice-versa.

You have 4 choices of Content Type when making Custom Blocks: HTML, PHP Script, Auto Format (Smilies enabled) and Auto Format (Smilies disabled).

The default is HTML. Change this to Auto Format (any of the 2) since you are using bb code and see if it works.

Yes, the topic id will have to be used. Also, you can use more than 1 topic id per block by separating the topic ids with a comma (4,6,7). You can, therefore, group similar topics.

You can try the Topics_Block module which is a hacked version of Lykos_Blocks module. You have an option to have 6 News blocks from different categories. Just do a search for it in the downloads area.
