Verify your theme or more explicitly your CSS style settings isnt contributing to the problem.

As mentioned, you can override the setting by editing the HTML code for the desired 'content'.

I've recently downloaded and installed a new version of CBB 3.0.

I have encountered the following issues:

When Adding Forum:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method XoopsGroupPermHandler::deleteRight() in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\html\modules\newbb\admin\admin_forum_manager.php on line 374

Note, the forum is added though.

When Deleting Forum:
Note: This will remove the forum and all posts in it.

WARNING: Are you sure you want to delete this Forum?

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class xoopsformselectuser in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\html\class\xoopsform\formselectuser.php on line 80

And the Yes/cancel buttons are missing.

Note, the Forum is NOT deleted.

I've turned on phpdebug, MySQL debug and there arent any error messages displayed that would help. I am running XOOPS 2.0.13.2, MySql 5.0 and php 5.

ANY help would be appreciated. I want to be able to upgrade XOOPS in the future without having to upgrade CBB. Since CBB 3.0 will allow me to do that I really want to stay with it, but if I cant delete a forum, I'll have to downgrade

Respectfully,
Kurt

Ideally this link would bring up a post page, with the ability to select which forum the post will go into. The way it is now is you have to create a new post from the forum you wish to post in.

My request is I'd like only one link, which will go on my home page, that users can click to get to a new post page.

Ideas or suggestions?

OR would someone want to write one? Seems the only tricky part is dynamically loading a "drop down list" with te Categories and Forum names....

I get the same error. Install the module, use the Shortcuts->Shortcuts block. Then try to add the first shortcut and you get the error. So I faked an entry and you cant edit or add another shortcut due to the same problem stated in this thread.

My user base uses IE. I'm using XOOPS 2.0.13.2, MySql 5, php5 and the uptodate Shortcuts from the Module Repository.

Suggestions?

Kurt

I would say look for X_SITEURL in class/xoopsblock.php and kernel/block.php and make there something like:

$member_handler = &xoops_gethandler'member' );
$user $member_handler->getUser$uid );
if (
is_object($user ) and !empty($user ))
{
return
str_replace('{X_USERNAME}'$user -> getVar'username' ), $this->getVar('content''N'));
} else {
return
str_replace('{X_USERNAME}''Guest'$this->getVar('content''N'));
}

I'm a little perplexed....do I create a seperate function for this code? I'm still a little new to XOOPS (bit not programming) so any details you can provide is good!

Thanks again!
Kurt

Didn't he say "custom HTML block"? A smarty won't work there.

I did indeed :) I was looking for the HTML code; didnt want to take the extra effort of converting the block from HTML to PHP JUST to get this token...

Thanks for BOTH your replies! I'll try the suggestion (from FrankBlack) tonite.

Thanks again!
Kurt

I'm trying to populate the user name in a custom HTML block. While editing the XOOPS page says use {X_SITEURL} to display your site. How do I find out what the other options are? I'd like to display the username but think it's overkill to create PHP module just for this?

So is there a coresponging code/tag/label to get the user name? I've looked high and low and could only find references to <{$xoops_user}> (BTW didnt work for my needs). What is the difference of these two? How can I determine what other variables are at my disposal?

I've looked through the forums to try and locate a block/link or code that will provide a single link for users to post.
