BTW.. is it possible to attach images/files to a post.. Seen it on some posts, but can find it here..

Well then, I'll have these three image files online for a couple of days, then I'll toss them offline.
They are just a quick (real quick) example of the XOOPS logo I made 3D and the possibilites it gives us.

When I look at them now, you might even be able to use them as a wallpaper for your desktop..

Actually.. for manuals.. your layout isn't really that bad, it's rather good! Because of the "simple" buildingblocks you have used as template, it would be very possible to have manuals created automatically. e.g. have a form, or something like the old MyTutorials module to submit or create manuals. A script could create these kind of manuals as pdf, I'm sure.
Also.. a manual for a product like XOOPS should be accessable for all, easy on the eyes and everyone should be able to contribute to this..

Brochures, flyers and alike are going to have to be outstanding or at least "different", fresh, innovating and all the other aspects XOOPS stands for right now.

I'll see if I can perhaps setup a couple of alternatives for your template above, but again.. really not bad.. (some beauty mistakes though )

If you have online manuals, promotions, tutorials or explanetions of XOOPS, I can create a printed brochure, manual or flyer of it for download if you want. No probs.
Got a Designing company and XOOPS has brought me many good things, would be nice to "give" something back.

Try the About module..
It's a great module to show a 'first page' (editable) in Xoops..
