I known this is an ongoing document, but it would be real useful to download a "current version" for immediate reference.

Thanks, Richard

Demo page
links to my demo site. It shows a 'test' page in 'sections' The words 'test' and 'a test page' all appear in ugly large font. Clicking 'news' and 'free content' in the main menu also displays lots of large font. I want ALL my default fonts to inherit the same size and colour as the rest of the theme. Can anyone help please??

Ok, Thank-you Herko for your comments. I seem to have a problem here. I have attempted to change the fonts in the "current theme" (nautis)However I am confused as to what controls the centre column. All my theme formatting is fine but its the modules and blocks do not "inherit" the theme properly. For example; 'sections' displays in the cetre column but all the text is in large default font. Likewise the forum and news. I installed 'freecontent' and the default guide page is all in default font. (all nicely wrapped in the nautis theme!) I note that the theme.css uses % font size in places that I'm not familiar with. Any advice as to HOW to format Blocks and modules greatfully received.

Thanks Richard

Im using Nautis theme, which is fine until the modules like sections, forum etc display in the page. Then we get large unformatted fonts etc. Ive tried modifying Xoops.css and the nautis theme css but this doesnt fix it. Is there a "site global" css and where is it kept please?

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome Mithy.

I assume by your reply that XOOPS is really centered around Db content. That's ok, but how does the system deal with search engine indexing?

I have an existing site of about 400 pages. Mostly text based with some tables and graphics. I would like to "re-skin" the whole site within Xoops. My preferred option is to use the existing pages wrapped in XOOPS format. However I also want to use the sections module for some new material.
1/ Is XOOPS suitable for this sort of conversion? Any advice from experienced users really appreciated.
2/ Where can I find user documentation for Cjaycontent V2?
3/ If I use html content wrap AND sections can I have a global search site facility?

So far I'm really impressed with this versatile piece of content management software.

Thanks Richard. [UK]

I was trying to hide the left and right block from forum page, but now have lost them altogether even in admin . In the admin/blocks list they dont appear so I cant edit their visibility. How do I restore these items. It appears one can inadvertantly get locked out of certain items in the admin site EVEN AS A WEBMASTER! I was in Block administration/ for login and menu items. selected "visible = no" "visible in= forum" so that they would not show up in forum. Richard
