Protector 3 and mainfile changes for upload to my hosting server

I have installed protector 3 successfully at a localhost server.
Now I want to upload my site with protector.
I read that I have to put the trust_path_folder at the same level as the public_html at my hosting provider.

Now I must change the mainfile.php.

Here is what I have

Physical path for my xoop:

define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', 'C:/webpage/xampp/htdocs/xoops');


//Protector
define('XOOPS_TRUST_PATH', 'C:/webpage/xampp/htdocs/my_xoops_trust_folder');

//Protector
include XOOPS_TRUST_PATH.'/modules/protector/include/precheck.inc.php';

//Protector
include XOOPS_TRUST_PATH.'/modules/protector/include/postcheck.inc.php';

can you tell me what I have to change?

Lets take for example that my page is www.mypage.com

I already install my favorite theme and i send you my first question at the xoopsthemes forums at "Clean" topic.

I have bought xoopsthemes fromhttp://www.xoopsdesign.com at 24 July 2007.
They sent me an e-mail that my pay was approved and then an email to say that they want to send them a username to create my acoount and sent me the details to be able to download my themes.

The reason I am writing here and not at their forum is that I don’t have the right yet.


I have my site ready and I am waiting over 24 hours that they claim to finish my job.

Sorry for writing here but I thought you would me more fast!!

2.0.16 upgrade from 2.2.4 locally first and then at my host

Ok guys you convince me.
I will upgrade to 2.0.16.
Now I have 2.2.4 installed.
First of all I have 2.2.4 installed locally. That’s what I do. I fix everything at a local host and then I upload them.
That is what I want to do with 2.0.16 too.
How can I install 2.0.16 locally and keep what I have done to 2.2.4?

I read that if I want to upload 2.0.16 I have to upload the XOOPS 2.0.16 and the downgrade.php.

Yesterday I did that and when I wrote at the explorer the name of my webpage it prompt me to install 2.0.16! is this what I want ??

Hi there. I am almost finishing with my site!!
I have the contact plus module installed version 0.8 at XOOPS 2.2.4
I want to add an extra field which will give the user the choice to send me mail to different mails.

I mean I want to have a field with a drop down menu with 2 different mails for example 1)admin@example.com 2)advertise@example.com, and to be able to choose in which of those he will sent me an email.


And something last (for now). Can I add capthca at the contact plus module version 0.8 and if yes (which version from where) could you give me a guide to follow?

Hello. First of all i wanna say that i was just about to throw off the idea of having an answer to (this) my question.

So thanks for a start.

I search my newbb file and i find 2 files with the name "post.php"

The first one is in newbb and the other one is inside newbb\class.

So which one do i have to make changes? could you be more specific what to change/add in this file?

The detailed installation file which i found through this topic drag my interest.

1) ..So i want to know where can i find protector 3.04 for download?

2) and if this is compatible with XOOPS 2.2.4.

Xoops 2.2.4 and "news" module problems

Hello, i run XOOPS 2.2.4 and yesterday i installed news module version 1.54.

When i click at the "submit News" button from the main menu of my start page it say "
Sorry but either there are no topics or you don't have the rights to post in any topic. If you are the webmaster, go in the permissions and set the 'Submit' permissions.

If the page does not automatically reload, please click here"

..and when i go to the permissions link of the module or at any other page of the module it is blank and doesn't appear anything.

Is this module compatible with my XOOPS version? if yes why i have those problems?
