That's how I've done it, kinda. I got my domain name, which forwards in an iframe (pain in the butt).

SO, I have it forward to my ISP space. That then breaks out of the frame, and runs javascript to check if my computer here (domain on dyndns.org) is running, if so, it redirects the user to the dyndns.org addess.

This is the freebee way to run it. Once it's all running proper, I'll set the domain up properly.

I run my XOOPS 2.0.7 site on my own WinXp computer, using TSW 3.3.1 (just updated the other day).

When I try to modify a news posting, I taken to the HTTP Error 406 - Not acceptable page.

I am not using custom sessions, and GZIP is on. On or off, it made no difference.

I host two XOOPS sites on my computer here, on a DSL line. I'm running TSW 3.3.1 at the moment on WinXP. Seems to be working better than ApacheFriends's XAMMP.

I can't see it saving money, but since my computer is on 24/7 using P2P applications, it might as well server my website. And then, I thought it might as well server others.

Since the computer isn't dedicated to serving the pages, sometimes the sites can run quite slow. I may consider a dedicated machine running Linux if I can get more traffic on the site.

Some of my users take BAD photos. If, for example I clean then up, how can I get XOOPS to refresh the intermediate and thumbs to match the nice shiney new photo?

Any joy? I'm looking for the same. My users are all on dialup and wait a fair bit for each page.

Excellent. Just tried one hack, but it didnt work too well. I've enabled caching on a few things. Very interested to see page loading times though, esp for the poor folk on Dial Up !

I host 2 XOOPS sites on my computer. Users are reporting slow web pages, how can I include stats at the page bottom for reutning the number of queries run, load time and page size?

I'm running Windows XP, TSW 3.3
Which MySql installation should I have chosen? I've used mysql-nt.exe
