I've asked the same question a while ago. So I guess the follow-up question is where do we find the php.ini file? Or is it something that your web host has to attend to? I've looked in every folder accessible, and can't locate the file.

Like I said, I'm dumping Google. But I've got a LOT of sites to change.

I thought that was the whole purpose of tabbed browsing.

I've gotta amend my last post. They do feature geo-targeting for a few specific countries.

I haven't seen any limitations as far as countries go, but they do specify that the content should be in English.

Here are their requirements:https://www.kontera.com/publishers_qualify.asp?help=1

Thought I'd share this.........

I recently came across a content-driven advertisement provider similiar to Google's Adsense program. The company's name is Kontera.com. Their web site is here.

The company provides the same ad types as Adsense, same dimensions, and a similar pay out structure. However, unlike Google's Adsense, when someone clicks a link, it opens in a new window instead of taking visitors from your site.

They also provide you with an optional script to place on your site. It creates relevant text links within you site's content - very similar to Google's Adwords project. The difference is that, unlike Adwords, you are paid if someone clicks the link.

All in all, I think this system is superior to Google's. I've already began replacing Google's Adsense links with Kontera's on all of my site's.

Ah, I see the message board is up now, but I still cannot register.

It's good to see that you've posted some pretty comprehensive advice for your visitors about solving the problem. After following it, I have to regretfully say that it still didn't work on my computer.

One suggestion would be to make the Contact Us section visible to anonymous users. The you might add a post letting would-be registrants know that if all else fails, they should use the Contact Us form and provide you with their desired user i.d. and a valide e-mail address. Then you can just add the user, create a temporary password for them, e-mail them the password and let them know that they can change their password once they've signed in with the temporary one.

I know that this isn't the ideal way to go about it, but it may help until you're able to get the system to work the way you want it to.

I tried to register also, but got a message saying that I don't have permission to access that area. The forums aren't visible to anonymous users.

Do you have your admin preferences set to allow new user registration?
