Personally myself I believe that we should have made this core and not as a module. The issues that come with it being a module are just to much for many non programmers to implement as a hack.

If you mean XOOPS as in the XOOPS core team, then the answer is simple, it is not our job to develop modules like a forum or maintain them. Modules in reality should be developed, maintained and updated by module developers. If we were to do this then we would in reality have no time for the core.

Still working on this at the moment. I hope to have something a bit more final once 2.3.4 is released.

We are putting together specifications and design specifications for the new module. Then we will have to develop it. Not an over the night job, sorry. :)
