As a move to finalise the merger between 2.2+ branch, we would like your input on what items you would like to see in the 2.3 branch or which items we have missed?

Can you please add your final 2.2+ wishlist here, thanks

I've been given the task of fixing bugs related to the migration script from 2.2.x to 2.3.x

Task does not include adding 2.2 missing features.

I notice some problems when migrating from 2.2 that are using custom templates. Also seems to be some problems with custom blocks.

I wonder if someone can get me a backup of a 2.2 site with custom blocks, custom profile fields and custom templates so I can use it for migration testing on localhost. Maybe an old backup from someone who had already migrated and had found problems doing it.

I've already mailed this:

Primary are:
- Having a login name separated from nick and real name.
- Extended block managment:
- permissions per block
- more selection of pages to show
- easier selection managment by adding from drop down and having a list of all active blocks (the 2.3.3 with the 5 or 6 dropdowns doesn't cut for me)
- Editor integration. Editors should be readily available for News, CBB etc
- Admin interface as ThAdmin for maximum look and feel.
- Admin find users
- PM message system as handled in 2.2.x
- error logging
- multiselect (php + smarty)
- Not 2.2.x but needed: group permission view select for debug messages (default webmaster)
- SQL execution times per request
- problems in 2.3.3 with empty date fields for profile and search
- loadlanguage for modules (rare used eg CBB welcome function)
- Frameworks integration and compatibility file for Captcha from it.
- ...

There will be some other issues, but these will do for a start ...

Can't test it, but there seems also an upgrade issue with 2.2.3 due to a field (in only that version) for blocks is missing.

Do you still need this? I have recently completed upgrading from a 2.2 site to 2.3.3. It was quite a saga due to certain modules not working after the upgrade.

I still have the 2.2 site in a renamed folder if it is of any use to you.

My main complaint with 2.3.3 relates to certain problems in the Profiles module. See this post.

Hi barryc, I won't need data at the moment but please keep it because it may be useful latter. I have identified one single bug related to template sets. Did you run into any problem beside the not compatible modules?

PS: I missed the post before. Forget the question.

guys one more feature request. could you add one more field type in the user profiles module. i'd be cool if we had a "numbers only" field type along with other existing ones. thanks in advance
