I have a problem with MyAlbum-P while the image management in admin shows only one of each image the category views show three copies of many images.

Here's an example:-
http://www.colournation.com/modules/myalbum/viewcat.php?cid=11

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Does anyone know how i might fix it?
Even just give me a hint of where to start looking.

I've emailed GI Joe (module author) but no reply yet.
Also can't login to his site or post comments etc on his site.

Any ideas gratefully receieved,

Andrew

I have a uk XOOPS website (http://www.colournation.com) but I host in the US currently.

My problem is that google.co.uk won't list me as a UK site because I have a .com and host in the US.

a) Does anyone know a way round this?
b) Can anyone recommend a good UK XOOPS hosting company who's servers are in the UK?

My current host www.spidersaid.com is great but I need UK listings.

Andrew

I'm just upgrading from 2.0.6 all the way in two steps to 2.0.9.2

but when I'm done i see the outer edges of my site but no central content just..

'Selected module does not exist!'

anyone had that - any advice?

also if i want to remove this hack in theory i just back step?

Installation is simple:

1) Upload this two files to your XOOPS root dir:
- loadpages.php
- xoops_shorturls.php
2) Modify your .htaccess file, the one you have in your XOOPS root dir (if any)
and add the contents of the included .htaccess file. If you don't have one, just upload the one I provided.

3) In the XOOPS root dir, there is a file named mainfile.php
Open it and add the following line just after the disclaimer (line 27 for
Xoops 2.06):

include "xoops_shorturls.php";

thanks

Andrew

Re: ShortURLs 0.3 just released!

i've noticed an issue with myalbum module - photo's no longer sort with shorturls installed.

The urls created suggested that sort (by rating/popularity) should be working but the photo's aren't actually sorted.

ie.http://www.colournation.com/myalbum-viewcat-cid-10-uid--orderby-ratingD-PHPSESSID-ee5bfbd64820a37e6b0ed2ecac5af071.html

firstly WOW I took the plunge and installed short urls despite some negative press on module compatability.

So far every module seems to be working great! My Ads, WF Sections etc. I'm convinced this will have a good effect on engine listings.

The only problem I have is that after the install I only see news module in the centre block (top page) where in the past I had blocks only for the top page (about 8 arranged). How do I get my blocks back?

A. fixed this myself :)

Quote:
4) If your homepage is set to a module other than News, open loadpage.php and edit line #20

..and if your home page was set to none leave blank ie. ""

thanks

Andrew

btw what would have a big impact on search engine listings would be if the 'file name' could reflect the subject or title of the page beingg discussed.
xxxShortURLs-0.3-just released.html would be great for example.

I'm desperate for this functionality - is there any chance this might get added to the core any time soon?

I'd love to install it but based on the issues reported here and the number of other modules I use I'd be concerned to try it.

please, please can we either add it to the core (which i know is a big deal) or work to ensure compatibility with as many modules as poss (which I'm sure is being done)

Andrew
