Hi,

I've just started testing WF-Links on my web site, and several errors are occurring. I'm using version 1.03

When I click on the visit link icon, I receive the following error:

Error [Xoops]:
Class wflAgeHandler does not exist.
Handler Name: age in file modules/wflinks/include/functions.php line 38

In addition, when I go to the WF-links module administration in my administration panel, I receive warnings that the following folders are missing on my server, but are required by WF-links. However, some of those folders already exist on my server. I added the folders that didn't exist, and then updated the entire module. However, I still keep receiving messages that the folders below do not exist.

public_html/modules/wflinks/images
public_html/modules/wflinks/images/thumbs
public_html/uploads/images/screenshots
public_html/uploads/images/screenshots/thumbs
public_html/uploads/images/category
public_html/uploads/images/category/thumbs

Has anyone experienced these same errors and/or have solutions?

Dave

Hi again,

I found the zip file for the 2.0.13 to 2.0.13.1 patch. The problem is that the zip icon on the download page is pointing to the wrong file (the tar.gz file, instead of the zip file). You just need to replace "tar.gz" with "zip" in the download URL, and it will take you to the correct download. I should have thought of that last night.

The correct download url for the zip version is the following:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/xoops/xoops-2.0.13-to-2.0.13.1.zip?download

Hi,

Anyone know where I can download the 2.0.13 to 2.0.13.1 patch in zip format? It seems that only the tar.gz version is available in the downloads section. I click on the zip icon, but it starts downloading the tar.gz version instead.

CBB version number is incorrect

Hi,

I recently upgraded from Newbb1 to CBB 1.14. I ran the upgrade script and updated the forum module in the administration section. However, the version number is not correct in the version column of the module's administration page. The number is displayed as 1.12, but it should be 1.14. When I click on the info button, it displays the version number as 1.13. Thus, I installed version 1.14, but it is labeled as 1.12 or 1.13 depending where you look.

Is this some kind of conflict or just a number display error? If it is a version display error, how do I fix this?

Hi,

I didn't intend to go too far off topic here and I apologize for that.

After discussing the pros/cons regarding newbb1 verses newbb2/CBB, I became worried that upgrading to Newbb2/CBB prior to upgrading to X2.2 may cause future compatibility problems (and I wasn't sure which version, if any, would be more compatible with X2.2). That was the primary reason why I mentioned X2.2 in this thread. However, I didn't realize that the forum module wouldn't be included as a core module with X2.2. So now that issue is pretty much resolved in my mind, except for one lingering question which I mentioned in my last post.

To be honest, I'm still not confident as to whether the benefits of an upgrade from Newbb1 to CBB outweigh the potential problems that "may" still need to be worked out with CBB. It would be helpful to get some feedback from several users of CBB, as to whether CBB runs faster than NewBB2. I would be very interested to know the experiences with CBB verses NewBB1/NewBB2 on moderate to high traffic sites. I know that there is an article on the speed of NewBB1 verses NewBB2, but I'm wondering how CBB ranks.

I realize that CBB is an evolving project, and I'm very excited about the features and future of CBB. However, I'm just wondering if I should upgrade now, or wait for later releases.

If I understand this correctly, the primary update with 2.2 is the core XOOPS engine (and the associated core components, such as the system administration, registration system, user profiles, PM system, search functionality, etc.).

Is it correct to assume that I can leave the currently installed modules in place (core modules from the previous version and any add-on modules), and the XOOPS 2.2 update will compatibly integrate with those modules?

Wow, that sounds awesome! You guys are doing a great job with Xoops. I'm very excited about the future of Xoops. I'm planning on launching three, four, or more community/news portals using Xoops.

Will XOOPS 2.2 include CBB, NewBB2, NewBB1, or provide us with options?

I'm wondering if there will be any X2.2 upgrade problems if I upgrade to CBB before upgrading to XOOPS 2.2.

Hi,

I'm wondering how the user profile system is going to change in XOOPS 2.2. I looked at the 2.2 roadmap, and it mentioned something about converting to a Dynamic user profile system. What does that mean exactly?

It would be nice if there was an easy way to create custom fields for the user profiles, without needing to manually go into the coding or database. Will 2.2 or later versions have that functionality?
