You made (partially common) mistake...
Images inside News|AMS articles are part of contents and can't be used separately in template.
Single module, which have article's image as object is SmartSection, but even SS must ne slightly modified in oder to use article's image inside module's blocks

I think, you miss a point. Question (in "cleaned" form) was not "how to do it", but "Why Mambo from a box (with additinal component) can do it, and why nobody in XOOPS-world think about impementing this 'modern-fashion' thing"

What is "latest version" for you? For me - XOOPS 2.2.x doesn't exist as production platform....

class/database/mysql.php, function connect() before

return true;

and charset must be changed to your local charset (-1258?)

PS - it will not work on admin-side, you have to swich into english in admin backend

FreeContent usage insults me

I think, free usage of module FreeContent must be officaly declared outlaws!!!

Why? Well, it's as easy as "one, two, three"

It is MY site

Here my site CLONED, inside another site

I'm agnry, insulted, I'm just in the fury!!! Probably I can solve this incident, but - anybody, any site may be target of next content-grabbing!
Now I'll ban .no domain, just as answer...

I moved data of one site from 4.0 to 4.1

1. Depending from charset setting of MySQL 4.1 all users of 8-bit languages can get big headache with unreadable texts
2. Just notice, that usernames in 4.1 became case-sensitive (pure english)
