I have experimented and have failed how do I go about adding a dlash banner that covers the whole top part of my page where the banner goes usually i want that whole section as a flash banner.

Help would be appreciated but in real laymens terms if possible.

Only way I can think of is by renaming the group "Registered User" in your groups to "Pending" and then make the changes you require to the permissions to that block then make another group Called "Registered" and set it to that I do not think there is any other way this is just the way I would do it.

cheers

Hey

When I go to xcgal section everything appears normal till i click on "Upload Picture"I come up with this a blank page so to speak but have a look yourself.

Resized Image

So I re uploaded the files again for the module thinking that maybe a file is corrupt and when i went and updated the module afterwards i got this message

Resized Image

Wheres the "main menu" its talking about and I still have the blank section of the page. "Albums" and "userpics" are chmodded to 777 same as in sysadmin>xcgal>prefernces there chmoded to 0777 and all other settings are the same as they were on the old site that what they are on this site and there been no changes and its just confusing me.

Any help be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Kindly guide me..

Hey mate had the same issue if you require the upload limit to be increased for "member submission" of downloads you need to contact your hosting service to get them to change it on there end as thats how I had to change it...

But if your submitting them just do as brash told you and just transfer them straight onto your server via ftp and then place the url in the submit download to point to that download.

Hope that helps

Pretty fast LOL if you could actually order anything LOL i dun think you be getting many customers if they are unable to order a package.

I surely will not be paying that price if you cannot get it running

Hey Cavan what exactly do you want to do do you want the flash to be the first thing your users see and they then have to click on part of the flash to eneter the site?

Or do want them to see you site and incorporate it as part of your XOOPS site??

If you want it as part of your XOOPS site you can simply make a block add the weight to wherever you want it be at the top or bottom in the center or on left wherever and just paste that code for your flash into the block make sure smilies are enabled and set the proper group permissions for that block where only unregistered members see it or everybody sees it.

If yu want the flash to be a whole page that people see before they even reach your site and they have to click something on the flash to enter your site well then thats where it gets a bit more involved.

You need to make a folder in your root directory named whatever wish it to be named. Put your entire site in that folder then put that code into a notepad name it index.htm and then place that into your Root Directory also then you change your mainfile.php as your xoops_path has changed thats the basics of what needs to be done but I am not totally sure what that flash does if we were able to see it and if you described a bit better exactly what you wanted to do it be a bigger help.
