This has probably been answered before but I havent been able to find anything using the search so ill just try a post.. it is probably a simple .php question...


I want to link to another page in a block. Showing the page immediately in the custom block.. For example the following page showing in a left block on my page:

New posts linked to user instead of computer?

As it is now when you check for new posts in a forum, that is controlled by a cookie on the computer you use, right? Would it be possible to make an option so that it was controlled by your user instead? people who use public computers and their home computer complains that the "new posts" gets messed up..

How about adding to the member section an "online on icq" function linked to the icq webpage? I am sure most of you know what I mean.. Since you have a field for ICQ, you could just add an "ICQ status" funtion to that? =)

Err, are there any other link modules then the one built in, in xoops? I dont really like that one and I am looking for other ones.. havent been able to find one in the modules download, on other XOOPS pages or when searching the XOOPS page..

It would be simple if everybody could add their birthday in their user info and then you just make a block that pops up when someone has a birthday..


Also, I've seen some homepages that has a "historic events" script.. "this date year 1674 this person did this, etc".. That would perhaps be a nice module? =)

Is there a module that handles recent updates? One that automaticly (sp?) "knows" when you update a page somewhere?

Well, the problem is that it displays all files in one album, so if I want an album with a lot of pictures, I still need to fix it somehow.. it must be possible to edit the code somewhere..

xcGallery problems

I have just installed xcGallery and I have a lot of issues with it.. =)

First of all, I have a problem when I use the admin section of "add pictures".. the part where you accept posted pictures.. I am using my girlfriends computer (PIII 500) and it just cant handle all the information at once.. The default setting for how many pictures it shows at the same time is 50, and the computer can only handle about 10 at a time.. where can I add "10" to the "show pictures" option..?

I hope you understand me.. I cant go into the menu and check since the computer cant handle it.. =)

I have more problems as well, but Ill start with this one.. =)
