Some sponsors might be able to see these discussions too indeed, but is that reason enough to hide them? The fact is that these kind of discussions exist and they are part of being an open source project.

Your current site looks nice, graphically better than the non-xoops site. If necessary, you can improve the design of a XOOPS site just as much as the non-XOOPS site, simply by changing the theme and some templates.

I think we should find a way to improve communication regarding the status of the project development, as many of this community wonder about it. When you know what you can expect and very roughly when you can expect something to be there, you can plan around it. Especially in community projects like these it is not easy to give a time planning, because as a developer you never know what other priorities come up in your life. So it is okay and people accept it when there is a delay because of unforeseen elements.
Reliability and continuity are very important in choosing a CMS, and sufficient and effective communication can contribute to the perception of a reliable system that keeps progressing in the right direction. Being informed is one of the ways reliabilty and continuity are perceived.

This concerns the latest version available on the module repository: version 1.0, but looks like it applies to both later versions as well (1.01 and 1.02).
Exploits like these can be easily prevented by:
1. Installing the Protector module developed by GIJOE.
2. Using a different tables prefix than the default 'xoops_'.
In the meantime I informed the module developer of this.

So you can just create 5 groups and 5 users and ass each user to the corresponding group. The groups have to be created in order to assign access rights.
I am not sure if it is possible for the same user to log in from different machines at the same time, but you can test it fairly easy.

Register.php is one of the files used for the registration process. registerform.php, as the name suggests , generated the form that is used to show to the registration form.

The actkey field is only used when the user needs to activate the account. In this case you will activate the accounts for them so you can leave that field empty.

You can do this by updating table xxx_users, set level to 1 for these users.
I am not sure which systems you used before, but XOOPS uses MD5 encryption for passwords. If the previous system uses another encryption (or no encryption), their passwords will not work anymore.
