Like Garrath says - stop all the political crap, name-calling and finger-pointing and get back to coding. I wish I had the technical ability to make a difference, but unfortunately my PHP knowledge is minimal and my time is limited.

Like the thread title says. Is anyone else sick of all this crap?

I've been a XOOPS user and a forum member since 2003. Over that time i've seen a lot of ups and downs in the project, people coming and going, and some coming and going more than once. But lately I can't believe what i'm seeing. I'm sick of all the ego trips, character assassination, lies, half-truths, accusations, misinformation, self-promotion, and all the plain crap. I'm not naming names, there's a lot of you, and you all know who you are. I wasn't going to say anything, but I really don't want to see something i've invested so much of my time in go down the toilet.T here's a lot of very talented people here wasting their time with this crap instead of making XOOPS better. I'm just wondering how many other users are sick of it all, and how many former users that have just disappeared because of it.

Why use 5 content modules when 1 can do everything? Find a content module that's enough group permissions to do what you need and use categories to divide sections. Koivi and xoopseditors have worked well enough for what I've built. None is perfection but spaw in XOOPS isn't it.

BTW, SPAW should had been a word in your subject.

He didn't say he was using them. He said someone is looking for them on his site to exploit them to hack.

Thanks guys :)

studioc and davidl2 have kindly offered to host my existing themes and/or modules. I'm happy for them to do so, and modify them to make them useable with current and future XOOPS versions as they see fit. If they do so, they will probably be improved in terms of coding :)

Further to above, i'm in discission with someone to take over the domain. I'll keep you all posted.

Hello fellow Xoopsers,

After 3 years online I have decided to close bassmanthemes.com. The domain is expiring in a month, and I won't be renewing it.

Why close down?
- I have been too busy with other things, including family.
- I can't keep up with all of the changes to xoops, both the product and the website.
- I'm tired of updating my site to try and stave off all the hack attempts and spam comments.
- generally i've lost interest in creating my own XOOPS sites.

This doesn't have much to do with XOOPS itself, I haven't jumped ship or anything. I've just moved on :) But I will drop into xoops.org every now and again.

If anyone wants any of my themes or modules, please grab them by October 17th. The site will be gone after that.

~Bassman.

Before you guys start patting each other on the back over post counts... on one board I am a member of, one of the mods has over 50,000 (genuine) posts!

Just FYI, other PHP scripts (Such as PHPBB) allow user names with spaces.

I notice there's a dodgy-looking Iframe at the bottom of your theme.html if you view the source...
