hmm well does anyone think it would be a good idea to show the most recent user uploaded/linked video in a block?
Otherwise other users have no idea when a vid was uploaded...it seems.

Hello has anyone created a recent video block for Yogurt social members? It would be like recent yogurt gallery pics but just show recently updated user videos. Or is this already possible in yogurt? (Cant find it)

Thanks in Advance!

Very interesting. You guys have this code snippet to share?
Thanks-

p.s I has added a simple 1 line hack to userinfo.php to hide regular User profile info from annonymous viewers (something I still think should be an option in site preferences or something)

That one line hack, I believe is whats keeping the yogurt/profile (userinfo.php) combo hack from working. So thats why Im trying some alternatives.

thanks for the info..

Hello ,
Here's the situation.

Yogurt looks great so far. Great Module.
However, Wanted to maintain registered members info integrity, so set annonymous access to NO.

Added a link to the Userinfo template in the system module.

The link is thus-
<input type="button" value="View This Members PowerProfile" onclick="location='<{$xoops_url}>/modules/yogurt/index.php?&uid=<{$user_uid}>'" />

It shows a nice button in the users Regular Profile. BUT, This link works as Admin not as user. Sure, its a permission problem, but I dont want annonymous users to be able to view Yogurt Profiles.

Trying to find the easiest way for Registered users to have access to other members yogurt profiles. So they can at least request to be a friend. Right now the only way to do this is to Search the Yogurt member directory, find the person, and the you can view their yogurt profile.

Anyone have another way to view registered members yogurt profiles more simply?

Thanks

Also: anyone already make blocks for Recent video?

Thanks for your response.
Im happy to report that someone from our webhost went in and gave a hard look and noticed that there were some variations and file mix ups with PHP version. Leadding to some corrupt paths and files. This also affected config file for Apache.

During this transfer went with all updated stuff so yes did not ice at least two module variants were not working. (very old x-directory modules customized) but I think ill transfer those to the new MX-directory or something.

-thanks

BTW-I wasn't clear before,these weren't standard XOOPS blank pages, it was like server resets or timeouts-

select the HTML selection form you type drop down just before submitting the block. (you'll see Content Type)
Make sure it says HTML.

Youll see this in block edit mode as well.

OK ..Apache is kicking my butt.
It looks as though its going to be faster but ther is a problem,

heres the situation..
The site works fine when closed. phpinfo works so its parsing php..
but as soon as we open the site...

whoosh blank pages left and right and the site is virtually inoperable. Have to immediately close it off to get it working again.

Any thoughts on this? been spending a whole lot of time trying various configurations. frustrating endeavor....
Particulary cant find any support sites for windoze and apache and XOOPS environment..
thanks

Holy cow..
Would have never known this..but the includes path was not set correctly in php! (was not set to adjust to relative!)

So......
nooooooooo Problem with this module.
It was the php config all along!

Thanks for letting me Brainstorm on the forum.

(not usually this hands on with the host, and there is no cpanel or anything)

"ie: in the ini fil you might find...

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; Paths and Directories ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

; UNIX: "/path1:/path2"
;include_path = ".:/php/includes"
;
; Windows: "\path1;\path2"
;include_path = ".;d:\php\includes"

Well whichever one you uncomment, if the period,semi-colon is not there before the path it wont parse through right in sub folders.

Our host helped us figure this out...

Note:The yogurt control fatal error only served to make it more confusing, it was the excessive warnings beneath that, pointing to the same php/includes" that led to this discovery.

(admin-please add fixed or resolved to first post title of this thread-)
:) thanks

Thanks for sharing info.

Its most helpful, we've been trying to track down several new bugs for sometime now since upgrading XOOPS version. I wonder now if protector and perhaps some other modules have been causing conflict.

Doing some more digging.
