Can I ask a couplemore things christian,

1. what does each of these parts of the csv stand for
3B;ELEVE;O;1;E3B

2. I seem to have another user that was created with an id number as the username and just the trailing part of the e-mail address (@eq.edu.au) as the only other information added. Is this normal?

your English is far better than my French.

I'm not great at php but I am having a read of the script and trying to work out the comments etc. At the moment I keep getting this error when I try to run the script:

Début de l'importation du fichier data.csv
Erreur dans la base de données : No Database Selected
Importation stoppée.

I have changed the $host, $user and $pass to reflect my settings. Is there something wrong in the csv file? I just added one user to try and reflect the data that was in the test csv file. This is what I added:

BLOGGA;BLOGGS;Bill;3B;ELEVE;O;1;E3B;BARRA

Thanks for that christian,
I am just having a play with it and have a couple of questions.
1. The sql file named bd_test does that need to be renamed to import_test?
2. Does this file attempt to recreate the users and the groups_users_links table? I already have a lot of users in these tables and I did not wish to wipe them out.

Hi,
I need to bulk create users on my site. I have the data although I am unsure if a simple text file upload to the one of the tables will work. Is there multiple table entries when a user is created? How is the password encrypted? Is there means for doing this or some kind of script or mod that has worked for some one before. If any one has tackled this problem before I would be interested in hearing from you.
Cheers

I seem to be unable to delete posts in newbb2. I have gone over the permissions and although as the admin and moderator I have the delete buttons visible and i get the message that the post is being deleted, the post continues to remain. I have tried deleting just the post and all posts but i get the same result. A window comes up telling me the post has been deleted but when I return the post is still there. Any ideas?

hi,
I am trying to allow users to upload a document to a folder in the root. They have the upload link but when it is pressed they just get a blank page. I have tried adjusting the permissions on the folders in question but nothing seems to make a difference. The admin are able to upload using the same procedure but users always get a blank screen. Other than this problem the mod works ok.
Any ideas.

At work I am behind a firewall and proxy but the same problem happens at home.
I can open the feed and it looks like a normal xml feed beginning with
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
- <rss version="2.0">
I have tried 10 secs and 30 secs for time out but both give the same result. The error appears way before the 30 sec timeout is up.

My host is pretty tight on their php.ini setup. Is there something in this that could cause the problem?

I am trying to run up the xhld0 mod. I get this error when trying to add a rss feed:

Failed saving data to database for headline ABC
Could not open file:http://abc.net.au/sport/syndicate/sport_all.xml
Snoopy status=connection failed (145)

I am a bit new to all of this but I think I am doing the right thing. I have set up an rss feed mod before without problems. I have tried a few different feeds from different sites but all with the same result.

What is going wrong for me??
