This is a love - hate relationship. I NEED to make my client happy by supplying him with a short URL for his start page, which is the Content Module. The current URL is:http://www.earthboundexpeditions.com/cms/htdocs/modules/content/index.php?id=1

I've spent hours and hours and hours searching the forums for a simple way to do this but just come up with dead links for Short URLs hack, Simple URLs hacks. I've looked at the Emma Watson Online guide but can't seem to figure that one out (it may not even work).

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.18.

Does ANYONE have a clue on how to do this? This is driving me to drink and drugs!

Shorter Friendlier URL

I would like to have my first (main page) in XOOPS displayed with a shorter URL. I'm using the Content Module and the url looks like this:

http://www.earthboundexpeditions.com/cms/htdocs/modules/content/index.php?id=1

I've seen a lot of posts about this but have not found the answer...

Thanks very much in advance for any help.

Thanks, tried that with no answer to my post. The module developer is Liaise (forms). I've sent them an email offering to pay to accomplish this. Hopefully it will work.

On another note, I really like XOOPS and am used to this process of building everything from the bottom up to get things to work. It's a shame that better integration hasn't arrived, which would make this (Xoops) a fantastic solution to mid level CMS tools.

Thanks

Secure Form Submission

I'm using Liaise to create some forms that I would like to have submitted through a SSL certificate. I've built my form and have it's like set to https but am still having some problems having it display the little gold lock noting it's encrypted connection. I do own a SSL Certificate through my hosting company. My older, html site works fine.

Thanks for any pointers...

Formulaire Mandatory Fields Not Working

I've installed Formulaire quite a few times without this problem. I will set several fields as mandatory, however the form still submits without error if those fields aren't filled in.

Any Clues? And thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply and help. My next issue is I'm using the block to "Display Most Recent Articles" in my right column. When I click on one of the articles I get the message "You are not allowed to read default level articles." If I click on the "reload page" link the article then appears. If I click on the "Read More" at the bottom of the page I get the same message. This doesn't happen in Admin mode. I've set the permissions in the AMS module for everyone to have view access.

Thanks in advance.

I've installed the latest AMS module (first time install). My, probably stupid question is how to you create an article? I've created a topic, set all the permissions but how do I actually create an article. If I go to Manage Articles there is no way to create an article...

Thanks in advance for all help!!

What fixed it for three of my sites was to turn off Gzip Compressions as well as CAPTCHA Comments. Don't know why but it fixed it for me. I'm just using Mastop as a nice content creation tool...no comments enabled.

I'm sure if you look into this issue, there is a solution where you can once again enable the above.
