I would like to have my first (main page) in XOOPS displayed with a shorter URL. I'm using the Content Module and the url looks like this:

http://www.earthboundexpeditions.com/cms/htdocs/modules/content/index.php?id=1

I've seen a lot of posts about this but have not found the answer...

Thanks very much in advance for any help.

first you need to move your XOOPS site to the root
currently your XOOPS is in cms/htdocs folder

http://www.earthboundexpeditions.com/cms/htdocs/modules/content/index.php?id=1

then you can follow avtxs guide
