dear Mamba,
Tatane and me, have some suggestions for the 2.6 :

Regarding themes and templates :
- create a nice theme based on html5 and css3, easy to customize
- use div instead tables
- delete : outer, odd, etc and actualize more the template system


Regarding the core :

- create a comment system like WP: it means add the comment box immediately after the article
- add the ability to show the module anywhere in the website : We have block anywhere, but if the module doesnt have a block : like contact, it's impossible to customize the show in the theme, foe example how can we place it in the footer? unfortunatelly WP and Joomla added this function longtime ago

Regarding the modules :
it's necessary to have the following features for each module :
- SEO
- RSS
- Social icons
- rewrite mode
- extended search
- nice look
- jquery effects (without any conflits with other codes)
- extra fields
- ability to clone it online

thanks timgno for making this module always up to date, I totaly agree with Mamba, we need a tutorial how to use it.
for example : the first step : creating tables and db isn't difficult, but the second step where we have to add the codes to index.php and smarties to the templates , is a little confused.
I guess if we can explain or create a small tutorial about this procedure it will be great.

I think in 2.6 we need a modern theme not the look but the codes:
- based on div
- using html5 and css3
- using some features like wordpress themes : changing columns widths and their number from the admin area

it could be the same module because the improvements have been made by trabis too. but anyway I sent you by email 3 modules

hi Mamba,
I have the same module but more developed upon a client's request, it contains one more field for mobile number, also the possibilty to export all subscribers to cvs list.
I dont have any problem to share it with all xoopsers, I will send it to you by email and you test it.
also I have did a paid work on liaise.

you can use mytab module, and activate 3 blocks : latest news, most commented and best voted.

few months ago I asked Trabis to add a new feature to "subscribers" : adding the phone number and unsubscribe feature, and he did, we worked a lot on this module, but Trabis prefers to review the captcha symbol before launching it.

the slider in this theme is made to show latest news from publisher, for this reason, if you dont have publisher installed in your website, the theme wont work correctly, desactivate it from theme.html (remove this line : <{include file="$theme_name/slider.html"}>) line 114 or install publisher and add some news

you can use publisher module and activate the latest news block : there is 2 nice sliders to show the latest articles or news.
also you can choose any jquerry effect and add publisher codes to customize it, I do it in this website
LOOK THE BLOCK CENTER
it's automatically updated each time the owner of the website add any article to publisher.
