Here is my problem

I need to have two Planets avalivble for two types of contents. I am not sure how to have links show the categories in a block or as links to seperate content genres so that they can be chosen by the user to limit the content they are viewing.

So can I just make another XF Plante module with serate content?

Hope that made sense....

Ben

Seems I downloaded the wrong version...

I cannot tell you what version I had but instead of one file I got two one for planet and one for Frameworks the version that worked for me is 1.01

Thank you all for your help and sorry to have been the reason for the error...

Well, it gets weirder

-Removed modules
-I put the Frameworks in the root directory.
-Go to site and it is blank
-Go to admin to change to default theme, I am presented with "This is the first time you are in admin..." (Something like that)I Click ok and get a blank white screen
-Uninstall the Framworks folder and all is back to normal.

Color me confused...

So with Frameworks installed I get a blank white screen for my home page and for the system admin...

How about this I need to syndicate some blogs to my site and would like the graphics to come through. XCHL0 is the only module that seems to work for this site but no graphics. Any suggestions on where there might be a syndicator I can use.

This is really too bad as I (When I had it running in my test site) loved the Planet.... But my site seems to gag on Frameworks.

Well this is weird

I have the xoopseditors installed. I just put in the frameworks in the root directory as the instructions asked and when I go to my home page it just shows a blank white page. So first i go to the modules and try and update the system, this takes me to a blank page so I remove the frameworks folder, update the system and all is well and back to normal?
Maybe I need a different verion of Planet and Wordpress what version(s) should I put in for this configuration?

XOOPS Version:
XOOPS 2.0.16

XOOPS Theme:
WDC_006

XOOPS Template Set:
default

PHP Version:
4.3.11

MySQL Version:
4.0.27-max-log

Server Software:
Apache

User's Browser:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3

I guess I will just have to live with I did it once and most likly cannot do it again and go looking for substitute modules...

Thank you for your help

Wow, I am about to lose it.

I have installed many modules and know the drill, put the module into the module folder via FTP and then go to the Modules Administration section of the admin section of my site and install. Better yet I have installed the modules in question on other sites and had no problem.

Here is what is happening. I put the "Planet" folder for XOOPS Planet into the modules folder via FTP. Then I go to the Modules Admin section and there is no module to install there? The same for the "wordpress" module.

I am on Godaddy for a server and am very frustrated right now. I cannot find anything wrong....

HELP any ideas?

Sorry to bud in here but I am having a issue related somewhat to this.

With the preferences in wiwi, I can choose XoopsEditor but the second box below "Choose a XoopsEdiitor supported editor" box shows nothing in the pull down menu. I have the editors as when I am in the wiwi mod and edit a page there is a link at the top saying "Right click to select another editor" and when I do so the Koivi editor is there and when I choose it all goes well...

But I would like this to be the default as my users are likely to be intimidated by a wiki unless it is dirt simple to use so a WYSIWYG editor is a must.

Thank you for your time in helping me with this

Best Regards
Ben

Here's what the preferences page should look like and here is what the edit page should look like.

I recommend a fresh start for this module - deactivate it, uninstall it, delete the folder from the /modules folder and delete the files from /templates_c, except for index.html. Brief list of instructions, I know, I'll add this to this list of posts to add to Starting a New XOOPS Site.

PiCal 0.91
Forum 1.16
XBS Tags 1
My album 2.8.4
PHP Wiki <---- to be removed
Liase 1.21
XF Planet 2
FileManager 3
Wiwi 2
Content 0.5

Server technologies:
LINUX,
PHP 4.3,
CGI 1.0,
PERL 5.0,
PYTHON 2.4,
RUBY 1.8.4,
MYSQL 4.0.27

Size is the default 80 x 80 and 50000 bytes.

I have tried JPG, PNG, TIF, GIF, bmp and all have not worked I get the blank window effect. I could do a movie screen capture or some static screen caps if that would help in the description

I have been expementing to get a site going so I have had in the past WF Sections (but just could not get it working or my head around it)

Last thing I need is some sort of upload system that will allow uploads of a CAD software file types.

Thanks for your time

I will get XOOPS info and install it as you recommend

Ben
