I do not even know how stupid is my question so please help me out; it's not working: whenever I try, it adds one field, but when I try to insert more, instead of inserting the new one, it removes the earlier one.

And yea can someone please advise me how can I change/downgrade my database from version 5 to version 4 of mysql? I want to install debaser which is not installable under the current settings but at the same time I do not want to lose any of the user base.

DONE

Don't know what is the reason that the edit user box is unchecked in the user group webmaster and why it does not reflect the repeated update process It might be because of profile module which offers the same functions.

I am not a techie person at all so I am just working on assumptions.

It was the edit/delete link in the xoopsmembers module that was causing problem. As those link were refering to edit users to which webmasters have not got the admin access and therefore, I have redircted those links to extended user profiles user operations respectively

Anyways thanks all of you for your help.

There is still one minor hitch and if I could not resolve it myself, I would get back to you.

Cheers!

I just upgraded to 2.2.4 and it was smooth got no error messages whatsoever but now I am unable to edit users. Whenever I try to edit/delete a user, I am taken to "modules/system/admin.phpfct=users&uid=22&op=modifyUser"I have checked the group permissions and the edit user is unticked in "System Admin rights"; I have ticked it many times and have updated the settings but it agains unchecks itself! And therefore, I am unable to edit users.

I would be very grateful if you could guide me and tell me what and where is something wrong and how can I correct it.

it is flash chat 4.5.6, integrated with XOOPS so auto login enabled and embeded in a webpage through tinycontent.

all files have been copied to site.com/chat directory

and I dont want vistors to be able to browse the directory, rather i want them to see an error page, saying page not found etc if any attempt is made to browse the directory

any hint would be highly apprecaited

cheers
