Ok all xoopers. This campaign is not to promote any of my sites or services. This is strictly to save a 5 year olds life! He has a rare form of cancer, and has a good chance of surviving, or living better.
I ask you to pass this link on to as many people as possible, and if you take the time to read the articl you will see Viktor the child receives 100% of any donations.

Hi, we moved our site to a new server, when we attempted to restore the database of users we get the error msg column count doesnt match. We know that this means the data in the backup contains more values than the actual database. the problem is its not realistic to go through a cluster of memberships and edit all there data.
Other than that....One thing I never understood is why when a custom block is made, it doesnt appear to be available in allpage under "groups" in admin.
Thanks for the help.
I'll try to be nice to any suggestions given.
but one can only take so much help. ^ ^

So as far as modules ..I can make a module that wraps XOOPS around it in the method I preffer. Is there a simple explanation to making the module appear as a block other than center? Other wise we will keep digging.

Must be the theme Im using..
Even with multimenu I just get blocks" with links in them. not the effect i was looking for. I am using a theme from autothemes. Seams very un versitle for xoops..Although the graphics are great I suspect it may just need some modifications.

What options does XOOPS have for adding a custom Dhtml menu.
It cannot be added through blocks. becuase the block's boundaries prevents the menu from showing sub menu's. It can be hard coded into a theme, and I imagine a module is the best way to do this. Any tips or aditional resourses appreciated.

Ok , Yeah I was very frustrated, spent prolly 20 hours straight developing menus and software and then looked high and low for more info on how blocks and modules interact, so to avoid digging through all the source code. THanks for explaining that gestroud and msdana. I See a module developement package up Im sure this will save us a lot of time.
