alright, thnx for the links. I will have to look into them more.
Have you use either of them hosts? If I pay for a host, I would like to be atleast a little confident they won't try to screw me over. I have had another webhost completely try to screw me of out a whole years of service
::cough cough::canaca::cough::

lol, so they left just a little sour taste in my mouth towards webhosting companys

thanks for your reply, but right now the site is bein hosted off my server at my house, so just my dsl connection is powering it. I am still looking for a decent (hopefully free, or really close) host for the site. I didn't think it would load that slow, the other site I used to host never loaded that slow, hmm. Well I guess I should look a little harder for a host then

gestroud- good to hear you didn't have problems with load, maybe Chris just was doing something the same time as a couple other people.. Oh well, I should still look into a better host anyways, my connection suffers enough as is ;)

This is a little website I put together for my wife because she is wanting to sell her od jewelry shes been making lately. Its got a pretty basic theme and it has zen cart on it. Its got some neat stuff on it, so do check it out, the site is.http://wrongwayacc.com

Hopefully soon I will have made a better theme, but for right now that will do.

im having the same proplem as the guy in there.. what i did as a temp fix.. was just deleted the whole categorys section for the block template. otherwise in IE you get lil boxes with red x's in them cuz the images aren't right.it would be nice to get this to work, but i don't know that much about all this try try and fix it myself :P

i just tried out xmspotligh. and i like the idea of it. and it does the news spotlight quite nicely. but the catagorys that are supposed to be under it, don't show up, and im guessing they need to be definded in the general settings section of the xmspotlight area in the admin contol panel, but it doesn't work. once you click that link it says "taking you back to where you were, if it doesn't reload click here." and then it takes you back to /modules/system/admin.php?fct=preferences

this is with XOOPS 2.2.3..

bah, my XOOPS started doin this as well. everything was working just fine until i tried to install this autologin hack .. and then all the custom blocks went away, i mean it has the titles and everything, just the content itself. well actually, its any system block. cuz even the theme chooser isn't working anymore. but like the main menu block and usermenu block works. as well as the oscommerce blocks im using... and suggestions on what this hack did to it? lol. i even completly removed the hack, and its still the same way.

well if i understand it right, paypal ipn is whats called instant payment notification. so basically after somone makes a payment, goes to pay pals site and finishes the payment, the payment won't be completed on your site until paypal sends something to it saying the payment was complete (which it does automatically after the payment is complete) and using paypal ipn it sets all that up automatically. so I would suggest using paypal ipn.

osc shipping methods

Hi I just installed XOOPS 2.2 or whatever the latest is minus the cbb stuff. and i installed osc without many problems, and i was trying to set up the shipping methods, i want to set it up to ship through the usps, so i got my account there. got the email with the account id and all that stuff, so i put all that in, minus the password, cuz it says you don't need the password anymore. so did all that, and then goin through just to see if it works get to the shipping stage and it says

also at the very bottom of the page it says

i originally was trying to use ups and it workd fine and i didn't get the last error. but then i decided ups costs too much for what im going to ship (its just very small things that go in padded envelopes) so i added usps on and got the first error, but it wasn't until i took ups off when i got the second error.

soo any suggestions? i think i explained everything, lol

OH, and its an apache 2.something webserver with php5 i think, and MySQL 4.1 im pretty sure. just in case any of that matters
