Thanks for replying davidl2, but is that the only way? The reason I'm asking this is because I do want the anonymous to view all posts with attachments but don't want them to download until they register, this way I at least get users to register if other features don't appeal to them.

Hey guys, is there anyway for me to restrict non-registered users from downloading attachments?

I'm using CBB 2.3 and XOOPS 2.2.3.

I think you have to asign users to a certain group, they can't just pick if they want to be an Anonymous, Registered or Webmaster.

Are you sure that you're using a regular registered user's account to test this and not yours (webmaster's)? Because as I can see, those options only appear when you, as a webmaster is editing your own or other user's account, not when a registered user edits his or her own.

Tried that, didn't work, I wonder why that option is there if only admin can change it.

I've searched through the forums and couldn't find an answer to my question.

Am I missing something or what, how come users can't change their own e-mail address?

Is there a way to allow them that option?

I'm using XOOPS 2.2.3a
