@Giba, implementing things in the xoops_version is not restrictive to previus modules, that feature will not be able, and a warning about that: the compatibility with the "current" version of XOOPS is not SURE, nothing else, i don't think that it has to be in a module...

I had been also talking with dugris and one of my favourites features of xoopsinfo (checking the version), has a little problem, as i know not all the servers allow to read a file in another server, so, the solution is to make it as an rss reader, with xml. I ve done a little test/example and is running in a personal version directly in the module administracion page.

Quote:
Just an idea :
extend the $modversion array in xoops_version.php to include :

1/ The last date of the module's modification
2/ The Php versions supported
3/ The MySQL versions supported

In 6 months, every module without this is declared, de facto, unsupported (and too old)

But it suppose to have "something" in the XOOPS modules manager.
Something like : "inspect your modules"

Just an idea.

I totally agree with hervet with that... is more.... i am thinking how to implement it... (is not dificult at all) ...

Another thing to implement in that way is that if the module needs any other module installed before or any editor ... like dependeces... as for example the modules of XOOPS mexico...

I will present it as a feature request in sf.net

Hi, i am the "creator" of multix, the hack is finished an working... but maybe is a little dirty right now and the documentation is gone. I left the project to a parthner/friend which i have in the office, but we can make the contact. If Paulizaz an Shiva are still interested.

You can see some working success cases here:

One of the first versions:

http://bel.unq.edu.ar
http://municipios.unq.edu.ar
http://investigacion.municipios.unq.edu.ar
http://biblioteca.municipios.unq.edu.ar
http://biblioteca.municipios.unq.edu.ar

And here is implemented the last version of the hack (yes!!!, all the next sites in the same installatio, and there are more.)

http://cesar.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://alejandro.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://gustavo.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://sergio.blog.unq.edu.ar/
http://adrian.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://rblanco.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://gmartinez.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://acandal.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://fgabarron.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://graciela.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://pablo.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://mariano.blog.unq.edu.ar
http://municipios.unq.edu.ar

The last multisite version can:

- Share any table.
- Share Users Between sites
- Share Groups Between sites
- Admin wich group will appear in which site
- Share modules and admin which will be able in wich site
- Share themes and admin which will be able in wich site
- Some Editors installed and configured.
- EXM improved admin interface
- SSL security implemented.
- If you loggin in one site, you keep logged in the others (if you want).

Luck, and if you got any question, just say it!

i also vote for BitC3R0 ... even i postulate my self to the core ... i think that people from XOOPS Mexico and XOOPS Brasil should be in the core...

Once i read in a post... that there were very advanced ajax-xoops related projects from XOOPS italia... in that case... maybe there should be one of them also in the core...
