In options of CuteNews theres a auto wrap for long words, which I would like on my XOOPS very much..

I don't know if it jumps down to next line, or makes a space after 20 characters, but it works as I want it especially for the Shoutbox module. I also have a design that get pushed too wide if a word is too long in comments, so that would fit great for that also.

This feature is in CuteNews:

"Any word that is longer than this will be wrapped: [ 20 ]"

And will look like this on page:

thisisalongtextwithn
ospacesthatannoyswit
hhorizontalscrollbut
isaoutowrappedbyever
y20chars

Anyone got a solution for me, how I can make long words break after x characters? That would be really great. If it's already been explained, then point me to the direction of it please.

Thanks on forehand for all answers.

*Bump* There must be a way to censor in Shoutbox as well?

I have a site where kids also visit, and I know they can avoid it by making . between the letters and so on. But I would still like to have the Word Censoring enabled in the Shoutbox and Shoutbox chat.

I don't know how it works, but there must be some lines of codes to place in the Shoutbox module or something.

Thanks on forehand for your answers :).

It's the Content module I believe.

You find it here: Content Module

I hope that's the one you were looking for, it sounds like the one you descriped.

I took your advice and installed the EvenNews module, imported the users who had accepted my newsletter, and sent it to them. But I got the same problem, only one get the mail.. Either me or another user.

I get this message:

Language string failed to loadinstantiate
Kunne ikke sende mail til
(Then the mail of the user)
Language string failed to loadinstantiate
Kunne ikke sende mail til
(Then the mail of the user)
Language string failed to loadinstantiate
Kunne ikke sende mail til
(Then the mail of the user)
Language string failed to loadinstantiate
Kunne ikke sende mail til
(Then the mail of the user)

"Kunne ikke sende mail til" means "Could not send mail to" in danish. Please, if anyone can help me, then it would be very appreciated. It's important for me that this works.

Thank you on forehand.

I would like the Word Censoring to work in the Shoutbox module.. Is there a way for me to make that possible? It annoys me a bit that the Shoutbox doesn't have the censoring like the rest of XOOPS.

Thank you on forehand for your answers .

I have a big problem with XOOPS 2.0.14. I have promised users a mail if they sign up for it. I tried to send only to the ones who accepted the newsmail, but only I get the mail, and it says error to any other users on the results page. Then I Tried to send it to a group with one person who wanted to test it for me.. He got the mail. So it only wants to send to one user at the time? I have the Mail delivery method by default: PHP mail(). I tried set the method to the others, but they get full error when I try. The PHP mail() sends to one user, but error for more than one. I have no idea what to do, and it's important for me that this works.

I tried to search this site for info, first the search box, then looked manually in FAQ and Support forums (Searched some of the forums for Mail users). I couldn't find any solutions, but if you know where there is a post or other, then please direct me to it.

Thank you on forehand for your answers.

Ah.. Feeling me stupid now. It were there just infront of me. I just thought it was something there should be in the blocks section. Thank you for the answer, although it were so obvious. I will look in the administration document and/or FAQ next time I have a problem like this. In fact that is what I'm going to do about the admin theme thing.

I guess I should take a break making on it a bit :P. You have my permision to delete this post, if it's useless. Sorry.

In an older version of XOOPS I had, could I select wich groups who could see which parts of my site. I looked everywhere (What I know of) and I can't find it in XOOPS 2.0.14. I tried to install the Usermanagement module from my old version of XOOPS, but that only shows a blank page on 2.0.14. What do I do to make the guests being able to see the blocks?

I would like if the Usermanagement module could be fixed to work on XOOPS 2.0.14 if possible. Or if another module alike could be recommended maybe. Like it is now, guests will see a almost blank site, only seeing the menu and login block. That doesn't work that well for me .

I have problems to find out how to make the admin section another theme also.. Like the old version of XOOPS I had installed.

Thanks on forehand for your answers.

How do I remove some of the fields where registered users can give their info in XOOPS 2.0.14? I tried to install the Usermanagement module from my older version of XOOPS, but when I want to go to it in the admin section it just show a blank page. I can't find a newer version of the Usermanagement module. What to do?

Btw. I want to remove the Website, Timezone, ICQ, AIM, YIM, MSNM, Location and occupation fields for every registered users profile (Only some groups should have some of the fields I want removed for registered users). The Usermanagement module were perfect for this, but it doesn't work on my XOOPS 2.0.14.

For me this is a big problem, because a lot of those informations isn't good to give to puplic on my site. They can be abused in a chat/game. So I need a solution asap.

Thank you on forehand for your answers.
