Is it possible to edit the page that is displayed when a XOOPS site is closed? If yes, what file needs to be edited. I want to add a logo graphic.

FWIW, I use Dreamweaver.

My only moan is that the myalbum templates could do with an editing - I think there are too many little icons for each picture.
You're probably right; I'll add that to my list of things to fix.

You're not the first person to lose a 3 stage rocket, it happens frequently.

Boy, those rockets have gotten bigger since I was a kid. Is Estes still making rockets?
Rocketry has evolved over the years. Estes is still the king of the low end stuff but other companies have stepped in to create the mid and high power rockets. The "Mighty D" motors from the 60's and 70's don't compare to the stuff in the H to O range.

I enjoyed visiting the site, brought back some good memories. You've got some great photos in your gallery. Interesting newsletter, too. Is there any way to increase the height of the pdf frame?
That's a very good question and one I need to look into. I'm glad you enjoyed the site.

It's not done yet but I thought I'd post a link to my rocketry website to get some feedback.

[resolved] Problem installing 2.0.14

EDIT.....
Firewall problem, please ignore...
.....

I just installed 2.0.14 on my test server. Everything went OK up to the first login when I tried to go into Admin. After selecting Admin from the menu I got the box that says, "This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed," so I selected "Submit." All that happens is that the same "This is your first time..." box is displayed again.

This is a fresh installation of XOOPS 2.0.14 into an empty directory. The database was empty prior to installing the XOOPS site. There were no error messages during the installation. PHP is version 4.3.10, mySQL is version 4.1.9

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mario

I agree that this would be very helpful.

I'd also like to see a list of the common styles used by the modules. I know I can create any css style that I want but there are certain "standard' ones that should be used. There must be a list of these and what they are used for somewhere.

OK, it's all working again. It looks like my firewall got confused and started blocking localhost...

Oh well, at least I can work on it again.

I'll check that again after I get everything reloaded. I'm starting from scratch... again! Apache server, php, mySQL, the works...

Mario

All restored...

No go on your suggestion. The problem is that I can't make changes to the database from the admin menus. It's really pissing me off because this used to work perfectly. Fortunately, the active site is OK.

Maybe someone here can help me out. I have a site that works well online and I have my test copy on my system so I can play with things. Everything used to work fine but now I can't change my general settings. For instance if I try to change the theme, I get the page that says that the database has been updated successfully but the theme hasn't been changed. Checking with phpMyAdmin confirms that the database hasn't been changed. However, I can change it manually with not problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

Mario
