The security issue imagines always a smile on my face...

Why do we need a module like Protector when XOOPS is secure?

Just my opinion.

(btw: I use it)

If "safe_mode=On/Off" is depending by your hoster. To figure it out you can install the XoopsInfo module so you can see that
in the admin section when you don't know it.

Gallery 2.1 doesn't work when "safe_mode=on"! Check you server settings before you play around with it.

All or nothing. Because XSGal doesn't work (yet) with Categories you cannot set specific rights for different directories.

No. PHP4 is not a problem. Rather GD library (should be activated!) I guess when there are no thumbnails.

The best one I found was webmailFX. Please look at this thread for more information.

There's no admin section for the module at the moment. You have to setup the paths to the image folder manually (look at the install.txt). All picture you have to upload via ftp or anyhow else. All subfolders are displayed and selectable.

I've modified a version of XSGal and XPlorer module so they work together. So I can use the XPlorer module for uploads ( managing the pictures. Only for tests at the moment. If someone is interested in to merge both modules pleas send me a PM or E-Mail. Thank's and have a nice week!

Try out eXtgallery. It's easier to use for User. Just my opinion.

I suppose you are talking about XSGal module? There's no admin section yet. Read the install.txt to see how to setup. It's easy.
