CBB 3.04 Full Text

I am using CBB 3.04 and there seems to be no way to turn on the "Full Text" notification option for regular users. Only admin users have this option.

Does anyone know why that is?

This is an established site that gets a lot of hits, so I don't necessarily want to update the module to the newest version unless I know this will solve the problem.

Re: CBB 3.08 - Where are the WYSIWYG Editors?

That was most certainly it. Thanks!

CBB 3.08 - Where are the WYSIWYG Editors?

I just installed CBB 3.08 on XOOPS 2.0.16 along with the Frameworks and class/xoopseditor packages as described on the support page, but I don't see where you "turn on" the different WYSIWYG editors to be used by users. When I post something I only get the options of DHTML and text and there is nothing in the CBB module's preferences regarding selecting editors, although I know it used to be there in older versions. What am I missing here?

Re: image manager - Could not get uploaded file 0

Thanks! I think we found the culprit:

In PHP.INI, Under File Uploads, the path directory was set to blank. Either that needs a full path or should be commented out which will use /tmp by default.

Re: image manager - Could not get uploaded file 0

Did anyone figure out this problem? The thread linked to above doesn't work anymore - I don't have access to it. I am getting this same error on XOOPS 2.0.10. The wierd thing is this site was working fine for months and then all of a sudden all image uploading fails. The image manager in the fckeditor doesn't work anymore either. The site is being hosting on my server and we didn't change anything that I am aware of. I double checked the uploads directory and everything is 777. Weird. HELP!

Edit: I am pretty sure this has to do with a server setting. Maybe a change in PHP.INI. Is anyone familiar enough with this to know what setting in that config file may cause this?

Content Module Spam free mailto: links

We have several clients using the content module, and they are using mailto: links on their pages. I'm pretty sure this is going to get them spam bombed. Is there any way to hack the Content module, or perhaps FCKeditor to do spam-safe javascript generated mailto: links?

I remember that this feature was put into XOOPS a long time ago, but I don't think the Content module takes advantage of it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Redesign XOOPS Admin Section

I'm been using XOOPS for years now and one problem that keeps coming up with our clients is the issue of how complicated the admin section is to use. It is a bit intimidating for a lot of people. So I put together a mockup of some suggestions on improvements of the admin section. I'm a designer, so I can't help with the programming, but I can help with the HTML/CSS development. Let me know what you guys think.

Notes:
Organization by Action, rather than by module
Expandable action sections
Ability to minimize Admin sections or turn them off
Icons are under the LGPL.
WYSIWYG integration for blocks and news is key (Fckeditor or TinyMCE with ibrowser)
Notes section for users to keep reminders
Real time user list
Maybe a drop down menu with redundant info should go across the top?
Admin Section ought to be themable to further customize stuff

Thanks!

Re: Apply extra stylesheet if no module is being used

I tried it out and sure enough, you are absolutely correct. That way works great too!

Thanks!
