What if I created content using "TinyContent" (and it is not an external file). Now the content is as follows:

1. Topic: Auto
2. Topic: Zoo

If the user selects (using IMenu or multiMenu) item 1, I wish for the first topic to show in the center block (which it does). But I also want to add some content about "Auto" in the right block. That is, a related block. If the user selects the second topic, it should show the zoo in the center block and related topics on the right.

I need for it to be variable based on the selected content. I hope I don't have to clone tiny content for every topic?

Could we not hack the tinycontent code to display a Topic named "Right Auto" and "Right Zoo" respectively from its own internal list of items?

RS

I have been using tinycontent and it has a page wrap feature.

I wonder if there is some way to hack a theme or something so that the content can go in the center block and a related block can go to the right?

Otherwise I will need to make all my center block content modules right?

How do I show 2 related blocks....

I want to show a specific custom right block with a specific center block.

The center block is launched by my menu. I use multiMenu.

Therefore, I launch content for the center block as follows:

/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=1

It displays the contents in the center and right block.

I want to show only the right block that has either the same name as the center block or some other related link id.

Any ideas.

Thanks all.

I got multiMenu to work fine for me. I had no luck with IMenu. I am using goDaddy as my provider and XOOPS self installs through their control panel.

Right Block Content based on the Middle Content

I would like to optionally place content on the right side based on content from a file in the middle.

Therefore, I would like to place a block (custom block) on the right as follows:

abc.php in the middle ----> Custom Block A on the right
def.php in the middle ----> Custom Block B on the right

etc...

Is that possible?

I would like to (if possible) display custom blocks based on a URL reference. That is, I put the content in custom blocks and then use a menu (like multiMenu or IMenu) to link to the custom block and display it.

multiMenu does not appear to do the same thing.

I am essentially looking for a simple module that can allow me to do the following:

1) Create a menu item caption/text
2) Create a link to the content of the item
3) Allow me to attach it to a menu (parent)
4) Allow me to select the authorized user levels for visibility
5) Allow me to select the order that the items appear.

That's it.

I don't seem to be able to do it with multiMenu, iMenu appears not to work at all in 2.0.16 (works great in 2.0.9).

:(

I checked up formalize and they have iMenu2.3_RC12

Unfortunately, it appears that this is incompatible with 2.0.16.

I uploaded it to my site, when I go into Administration/Modules ---> there is no iMenu module to install. It appears to be for the wrong version or I am doing something wrong. Other newer modules do appear and funciton.

I have been away from XOOPS for a while :(.

In the past I used iMenu so I could conveniently attach menu items and assign authorization to the various items. It does not appear to work with 2.0.16.

Is there an alternative or similar Module?

If not, are there plans to move in that direction?
