I want to add a Google Adsense ad at the bottom of my newstories articles. I tried editing the news_article.html page under the directory "xoops\html\modules\news\templates\", but it doesn't seem to do any good.

By this I mean I want it to appear when they click on the "read more" link to read the whole article. Also, I am using the default template, and a slightly modified version of the "young_leaves" theme.

What am I missing ? OR perhaps there is a more "proper" way to go about this ?

Thanks !

function to decode the password stored in database ?

Is there an easy way to decode the password stored in the database (for emergencies only)for a user? I got myself "locked out" a few days ago, and managed to recover my password, but it took some doing.

I also use a tool called MyPhpAdmin to manipulate the database directly.

Thanks !

Thanks! I'll give GIJoe's module a look and see if it suits me.

I guess a different approach to problem would be for me to mod some code so that "unregistered users" is the default group for when I go into administrative mode. Got any ideas on that one ? (I know how to change the HTML for a SELECT control, but don't know where to look in the XOOPS code just yet ... )

I installed XOOPS in the directory /root/xoops/html/ so that I could experiment with it and not mess up my existing site. Now that I am getting used to it, I'd like to move everything under /html/ up to root. What do I need to modify in database and/or files to make it a smooth transition ?

Thanks !

the weights are the same for all users, you can't have them different for each group.

ie. you can't set a weight of 5 for a block for registered users and have a weight of say 7 for anonymous users, they both always have the same weight :S

I used the wrong terminology. Sorry for that. What I meant was is there an easy way for me to have all users groups' block access rights be the same, by default ?

In other words, when I set block access rights for unregistered users, I would like the access rights for registered users to follow along the same way. So if I set access rights for Main Menu, I would like it to be set for both registered and unregistered users, at the same time. Does that make sense ?

Thaks for the help!

I would like for the weight or order of modules for all of my blocks to be the same for both unregistered and registered users. Is there an easy way to do this or a hack ? I just don't want to have to edit the order/weights for both types of users every time.

Thanks !
