Custom Blocks only show in Registered Users admin pages

For some reason every new HTML Custom Block I add from the Blocks admin page
/modules/system/admin.php?fct=blocksadmin
only appears under the Registered Users admin pages even though I select Anonymous Users when I create the block.

Any ideas about where to look to fix this problem ?

(Note that recently I had an error in the mainfile.php file that caused some trouble. Could this new symptom be related ? )

Thanks for any help !

SOLVED! It turns out there was a path name that became incorrect due to some changes made by my hosting company. (At least I <I>think</I> they made the changes ...) Some kind of alias problem or something like that. Anyway, they fixed it for me by making the mod in mainfile.php !!!

Now I have another prob, which may be related but I will put it in a separate post.

Thanks for all of the feedback on this, which is very helpful no matter what the actual problem was !

My XOOPS website all of sudden has stopped working (just shows a blank page) over the weekend.

Is there anywhere I should look for what commonly causes this problem ? Is there a common hacker attack against newbies like myself ?

When viewing the source I just get what follows at end of this post.

Thanks !

SOURCE FROM home page:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<
HTML><HEAD><META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD>
<
BODY></BODY></HTML>

This is driving me nuts!
Where is the value of $xoops_meta_description being set ?
( I want to change it to reflect the title of a particular News story ... )

I've looked in all of the source files and so far can only find when it is being used such as in the themes files ...

Thanks !

Is there a way of turning on "breadcrumbs" so that I can see exactly which modules/files are being called/included to help me to mod code here and there ?

Thanks !

How can I prevent images from "bleeding over" into the other News articles, as shown on my site at this address:

<A HREF="http://www.waycoolgear.com/modules/news/index.php?storytopic=0&start=5">http://www.waycoolgear.com/modules/news/index.php?storytopic=0&start=5</A>

(I am looking for something besides just adding whitespace or &nbsp; to the bottom of it. Like hacking some code somewhere in the News block module ...)

Thanks !!!!
