I seem to have lost my Avartars, I can upload one from the user admin and I can see it after upload in the member area, but all I get in the forum area is a blank place holder.

I have searched for other users with this kind of problem but found none, anyone any Idears.

Thanks

using 2.2.3 and 2.4 patch

I had a tick in preferances, I took that out.
Seeems ok now, thanks

With groups, can a memember join more than one group or is is best to keep to one group?

Does the webmaster need to join every group?

I keep getting a blank page when I try to read posts, maybe something to do with update to 2.4 but not sure.
anybody got any ideas, please.

Additional Information
I was uploading patch XOOPS 2.2.4

I read all the docs that came with the module in the docs folder. I copied onto the server via FTP. Any file work I do is done via FTP.

I then didn't check the forum.

I then read the instructions XOOPS had hidden away on the site for installing the patch (https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=2813). It said if uploading the patch to a current system you were to empty the cache folder or at least delete the following file from the cache folder:
profilefields.tmp

So seeing that all the system had done was to overwrite files, I deleted this file, and then re-uploaded the patch.

Then I checked the forum to find it wasn't working.

I then backed up the forum. Deleted the module. Reinstalled a fresh version. Copied everything onto the new version. But it still didn't work. But at least I've now got good copies of everything forum related!

That is how it all came to be! And I know get the error below

Yes I figured it out
Login to the ADMINISTRATION MENU click the FORUM icon and select the EDIT A FORUM link, select the forums one at a time from the drop down box, click enter and in the Access Level: dialog box select registered Users Only, now save the changes and the original poster can now delete his own post/s.

This has to be done for each forum (one at a time).

Thanks for the help, I was looking for a way from inside XOOPS it's self, but I don't think it can be done that way so I will stick with changing the file on the server as you suggest, thanks.
