I have found iMenu to be pretty useful as well.

I would love to help. I currently run a bi-weekly internet broadcast, which showcases dance music DJ's from around the US, and UK, so I would be willing to help for maybe a commercial spot, a banner ad or something of the like. We also are seeking affiliates, and are willing to trade links, co-affiliate, and do banner exchange.

Our site doesn't use XOOPS anymore, but only because I felt it was easier for the project needs to just design a custom CMS. You can view the site here:
http://www.maxxiumtraxx.com (I did all coding and graphic design for the site)

I have designed a few XOOPS themes, you can view 2 of them here:
http://www.djtripnosis.com (on the left, you can select from 2 themes, I designed one, and the other is a customization of a theme on the XOOPS site)

You can view my best theme design (IMO) here:
http://www.lyradesign.net (I am submiting this theme to the xoops.org theme library now)

Lastly, you can view a full site design I did using xoops, which also uses a them I designed from the ground up, plus I have really hacked the heck out of it to match the sites needs:
http://www.batman-reborn.com

I am a 2 year xoopster, about a year of PHP coding experience, about 10 years html/css, and about 10 years of graphic design, with 3 years Photoshop experience.

Feel free to pm me here, or use the contact area at:
http://www.maxxiumtraxx.com

hope to hear from you soon

Have you checked your group permissions? Maybe no groups are allowed to have module access rights to any of the modules that would display in the main menu?

If you do need to do a clean install, Just backup the database (export the tables in phpmyadmin, copy the queries it gives you, then save it as a text file), then re-upload the XOOPS files, WITHOUT dleting any that are there, just overwrite the ones already there, reinstall xoops, then go back to phpmyadmin, drop all the tables in the database, then open the file you saved with the database query, copy all of the text from said file, then past it to your SQL window in phpmyadmin, click "go" and bam, new install, old data.

Does the menu show when you log in as admin, or does it not display at all?

Not sure about the first one, but as for #2, just install and use the "members" module, which comes with Xoops. If you wan it to load in a popup, you'll prolly need to use a menu module.

You might wanna edit the title of this thread, and add:

You might try to update the system module, that's where the userdata resides.

Also, although HTML in sigs is an option, I have found it to be problematic. Easiest fix is to use xoops(BB) Code.

I also noticed you are using:
target="_blank"

In your sig. The default behavior for links in sigs ans articles is to load in a new window. Perhaps this redundancy might be the issue? Just a thought.
