I have the same goal:

I have a phpBB2 version 2.0.17 and I'm building a website based in XOOPS.

I want the same: import phpBB2 to some XOOPS forum, and if an user has logged in XOOPS, he don't need to log again for get into the forum.

Sorry, my english is not so good.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello.

I had 2.2.2 updated from 2.2.1 in my laptop.

I downloaded 2.2.3 patch and updated, and spanish 2.2.2 language, but login admin page is a blank page, and a lot of characters are wrong.

I did a mistake in some step.

Could I do this?

--> Delete all folders except modules and copy the original 2.2.1 folders again to the root folder. So I could begin to update my site.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I have XOOPS installed in my laptop, I'm developing a website in it.

My XOOPS version is very old, so I have though this:

1) Create a new site in my laptop with the latest version of XOOPS.

2) Link this new site with the same sql database that the old site.

3) Install in the new site the same modules as the old site.

4) Delete the old site.

Could I do this???

Could I recover the information from the database if I do this?

Thanks in advance for your answers and excuse me my bad english.

Hello.

I'm building a site in my laptop, for migrate to a server later.

This site is under folder apache/www/mysite1.com

I want to build another site at the same time in the same laptop.
I think I can create another folder: mysite2.com under apache/www, and

1) I need to create another database in MySQL for mysite2.

2) I need to install again XOOPS under mysite2 folder.

... ¿Could I install a previous version of XOOPS 2.2.1 for mysite2.com?

Am I right or wrong?

Thanks for your suggestions:

Hello again.

I'm looking for a module, similar to news, but is for input musicians interviews.

I think I can use tne AMS or NEWS modules, but I have noticed that AMS or NEWS module, order articles by date.

I want to order interviews by musician, from A to Z.

Should I use a Dictionary Module?

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot and sorry, my english is not enough good.
