Hmm this is most weird. It seems that .psd file installed Myriad Pro font for me.

Nah that's not possible, what am I talking about Haha.

It's just that I had that font before, god knows from where... Wow this is really weird. Thing is I didn't buy it, it probably came with a font pack. I installed 2 of those, 1 from a cd and the second I downloaded. I guess it's illegal then.

When I opened the psd file it said "Some text layers need to be updated before they can be used for vector based output. Do you want to update these layers now?" Photoshop was refering to the text layers but when I hit the update button I couldn't edit them... They were there but I couldn't see the font or edit the layer. When I didn't choose update I could see the text but couldn't edit it. Does anyone know what's this about?

Actually you can publish news but you can't edit them. When you do so it says "Please enter all required data!" as Sadistiko already said. After that it just sends you to the search page.

I really can't see what the search page has to do with it. We could really use some help.

If you'll be using the Firefox type of affiliate programme (your site gets listed on xoops.org as you gain points by sending visitors)it should be fairly simple, although I don't know much coding.

As Luciano said there should be a block made up for this. You would select what kind of banner you like which would be hosted on xoops.org.

Then there should be a counter on xoops.org server counting all incoming visits made by following a banner or ad from the programme. It should be a unique counter and to ensure it is unique it would plant a cookie and track IP. Of course this doesn't ensure a 100% fullproof unique counter but I don't think there are any of those.

Then it would simply list users with most points on the site.

All of the scripts should be hosted on xoops.org naturally and all the user would have to do is sign up, download the block, install it, select what type of banner he would like and that's it.

McDonald, I think what Sadistiko was trying to say was that he already translated those modules and was wondering where to upload them on XOOPS official site so that others can download them.

Moving my XOOPS site

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could explain to me how to move my XOOPS site to another server. I know it's easy to transfer files, but how do I transfer the databases? And, I believe I have to go into mainfile.php or some similar file to change the database names and such, am I right?

If I make a custom block with any PHP at all (set to PHP of course) I can't see sh*te. When I set the block to HTML it's ok... :/

I even tried adding the code to my theme file but that's not working either, this line of code is wrong.

Jesus wtf is wrong now, I can't print any PHP. Tried <?php echo ("whatever"); ?> but that isn't working either, oh jesus. Btw I know the PHP has to be at the top of the page before the doc type tag. I just can't get any PHP to work be it in block or theme. Can anyone help me out?

I've got this problem regarding time zones. You see, when I'm adding a new poll (xoopspoll module) under current time it prints GMT time but I've set CET for default timezone in system preferences and EST for server time since the servers are located there.

Is there a way this can be resolved?

There's only 1 block for Xoopspoll and that's for voting and viewing results at the same time but since election mode forbids viewing results before the poll expires it isn't possible.

Oh, sorry for my blindness :/ Election mode, yes.

Too bad I can't show results while only registered users can vote :( This way it's one or the other.
