I'm in a similar boat. My site uses dynamic content for auctions, classifieds, matchmaking, etc. That is, they are PHP and/or CGI scripts. I'd like to have XOOPS wrap itself around, but having a really tough time finding the right module.

I like it. I like it. :)

A few questions about this module:

-- How can I display multiple news stories in the block?
-- How can I get rid of the displayed graphic and use a picture to go with the article?
-- How can I list the other news stories, without showing them? Only one other story is showing, but there are two other stories available? (However, I prefer all three on the front page.

Each and every module I find seems to be helping more and more.

I've got a personalized logo on the way and this site could come along well. I'm not even going to submit this thing to search engines or advertise my e-commerce stuff until my site is done to my liking.

OK, check my site again (www.mcclimans.us) and you'll notice below the two center blocks, that I have a link to a news story on my site.

My question is: Is there a way to just have the latest top news stories appear in the middle blocks like that (For example: I want the reality TV story to appear on the front page)?

I'm really starting to get into XOOPS and trying to find the rights modules to do what I want (like wrap XOOPS around a CGI/PHP auction script I have; around a chat script I have; etc.).

OK. The problem I have is thathttp://www.mcclimans.us/fleamarket is a PHP Script itself, which may or may not pose a problem.

What I want is for XOOPS to wrap around the PHP Script content for the Flea Market script. I'll have some other PHP scripts that I'm running, so I have a desire to do wrap around.

I want things to look uniform, so it will look reasonably professional. Sadly, I haven't found any modules for XOOPS to run auctions, user ads, etc.

Let's say that I want to create a section on my XOOPS site for my web hosting. I would like to be able to display different blocks on that page that I do on my other pages:

-- block with my plans
-- block for logging into the control panel
-- block linking to faqs
-- etc.

I'd still want the menu blocks and stuff, but not all the extra stuff.

Any way to do this. And, this is something I'd like to do for various sections of my site, so that it all fits into a tidy little portal.

Haha. I got it. Just needed to find a access rights for anonymous users. Now my page is visible and others can help me figure out that pesky "Site Menu" problem (using Multimenu 1.4)

If someone goes to mcclimans.us and sees that my center block is blank. I created two center blocks that only (at this point) are visible to registered users. I want them visible to unregistered/anonymous users. I also want to have Site Menu and The McClimans Web menus available to anonymous users.

Frankly, anonymous users have the right to view everything, just not post to forums, upload files, etc.

Someone may need to go to my site, register and see what I mean.

I'm looking for the same, but only because I'm using a .US domain name and want to kind of tie things together that way.

Nevermind. Seems to be working now. Didn't have HTML clicked. :)

Also, are there any other ad programs; such as ones to display ad boxes in a block on the side?

Also, any other ad programs I should be aware of besides CJ?

And, are there any modules for selling Amazon.com products?

OK, I signed up for Commission Junction and got joined some affiliate programs. I set up SmartZones, added some banner ads, and figured I was all set.

However, the HTML code they gave me was javascript. Anyway, to make this work? Is there a different banner ad program to use? Or will I have to individually get banner ad code for each advertiser, even though it may be script too?
