Yes you can create access to parts of your site by creating new groups (groupA, groupB, ect). You can do that through Admin/System/Groups then offer permission to modules based on each group.

The trick is finding a module for news articles that will allow you to give permission to groups by individual articles. Seems like most modules only offer "registered, admin, guest" options for access.

I THINK that there is a download module that allows access to specified downloads by custom groups, this might be an option if you want to offer your articles in PDF download format. There might be news modules that allow access based on custom groups per article, but I have not seen that option in news modules I have looked at.

Otherwise you can use a combo of Cjay Content and Multi Menu. Cjay Content would be used to "wrap" your lesson in XOOPS and multi menu to create custom links per group to access the cjay content wrapped pages by their group/student level. Have I lost you yet

Does your "blank" screen open in the same (self) window? If so the "self" is working, for some reason I think I had this issue about a year ago and found that for some reason if the ending "/" was not at the end of the URL it gave you a blank page. "modules/contact/"

Try visiting your "contact" page then copy/paste the exact url into multi menu. Just a thought from past memory, however there is no promise of a good memory these days.

This might and might not help, but it too early and not enough coffee

I am not really "new" to xoops, I have been using the system for the past 2 years (there about), however I now have a need for a function that I am not sure of.

Is there a way to place either a custom html search block into my site to only search all members by their Member ID number search string, or modify a members module to only search by member ID?

The main purpose for this would be to allow people to enter a member ID into a search box and have them directed to that members profile page and not a search box that is going to search all modules for the "search string".

I might be asking to much, but thought I would give it a shot

Thanks!
Chad

I just installed this module, and it kicks a**. I do have one question about the "popup" player. In Netscape the popup is large enough to see the "download" option, however in Explorer only 50% of the player shows. How can the size of the popup window be adjusted? I have looked for 2 days with no luck The internet radio popup has scrolls but when you choose to listen to a song from a list, that popup has no scrolls and is not large enough to see the "download" link when using explorer.

Thanks!
