Centerblock arrangement

I really like the kubrick theme compiled by kavaXtreme. I'm going to use it on my new site.
However, I have a question when it comes to customizing the layout.

In the centerblock of the top page, I would like to have:

Top: One centerblock-center static-content
Middle: (at the same row) A centerblock-left content and a centerblock-right content from a different module.
Bottom: A centerblock-center content from a module.

Is it possible to arrange the theme.html file so that I can get the layout I want? And how? (I'm afraid I'm quite a rookie when it comes to these things..) The file first loops the c-c, then the c-l and finally c-r.

I have not been able to split the centerblock-center content so that I can get the c-l and c-r in the middle. Either I get all c-center content on the top OR at the bottom.

I've read numerous posts relating to the centerblock arrangement, but none have as far as I can see, adressed this issue in the detail needed in order for me to understand(!)

Thanks

(I also posted this on kavaXtreme homepage)

Theme not changed accordingly when selected in theme selector

Here are my details:

XOOPS Version: 2.2.3a
PHP Version: 4.3.9
MySQL Version: 4.1.10
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): Apache
Default Theme: default (for now..)

When users at my site (also admin) select a theme in the theme selector, I'm used to that the selected theme kicks into effect immediately. However, lately (not sure what's caused it) nothing happens when I select a different theme.

I have the kavaXtreme "kubrick" theme as default, and when the users select a different one, nothing happens...

Anyone know what might be causing this? All files in themes/ have sufficien privileges (read and execute) If I set the default theme in site-admin to "default" that remains the theme for all users, no matter what they select in the "theme selector" menu.

Anyone?

Sorry for not doing my homework on this one. The answer was right there in the FAQ, as you so politely pointed out. For some reason, the permissions on the template_c dir was wrong. I chmod'ed it, and now it works.

Here are my details:
XOOPS Version: 2.0.7.3
PHP Version: 4.3.9
MySQL Version: 4.1.10
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): Apache
Default Theme: Zaja-System

I tried to install weBlog 1.42 as found under the Module Repository. However, after an appearant successful installation, only my administration pages are "visible" all other pages appears completely white/blank.

Any pointers to the reason for this one?

I am afraid I'm a novise xoopser and are in desperate need for advice on the issue...

Thanks!

And here comes - a success story.

Martyboy put me on the track of something. And when I checked the status of the XOOPS DB-tables, (CHECK TABLE 'xoops_table') it turned out that the table xoops_session was corrupt.

I runned a REPAIR TABLE 'xoops_session' to fix it, and voila! - everything is back to normal.

I do not have cpanel. I control the database using myPhpAdmin, and the domain, etc using a interface built by my service provider. But I'm a rookie, so if you would give me a tip on how to perform such a DB-check in myPhpAdmin, I'd be grateful.

I do not get any php-messages in the address bar after logging in - in fact the only thing in the address bar is .../module/news, which is my default starting page (same as before trying to log in)

The mainfile.php has the correct www.mysite.com notation.

Thanks for the tips so far guys. Please do not give up...

Hi,

Here are my details:
XOOPS Version: 2.0.7.3
PHP Version: 4.3.9
MySQL Version: 4.1.10
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): Apache

After logging with a correct username and password, I get the message: "Thank you for logging in. If you are not automatically redirected, plase click here"

Then I get redirected to the login page, and I am not logged in after all.

This applies to all users at my site

This means that nobody (incl. myself) can log in to my site, Hence - I'm a bit desperate...

Since this happened without me doing any system changes whatsoever, could it be that my service provider (where I have my installation) has done some changes that could provoke this?

I appreciate any hints and tricks on the issue.

Thanks.

Having upgraded from newbb 1 to newbb 2, the forum-page at my site only works for members of the webmasters group. Going to the forum-page for any other user, only displays a "empty" page (showing only the welcome message, the main options menu, etc - no forums displayed)

I have followed the items from the readme-first file, and here's what I have done:

1.Deleted all files in old newbb folder
2.Uploaded all new files and runned the update script (newbb1_to_newbb2.php)
3.Updated the NewBB module in moduleadmin
4.In the readme, it says to set permissions for the categories and the forums - but I do not know what to do here. If it means to check off the correct boxes in groupadmin, I have done that....
5.included {$xoops_module_header} in the theme.html file
6.The readme says to update the newbb templates - but I guess that is only if I am not happy whith the default - so I have left them for now.

Ok - so all perhaps except item 4 has been done according to the "book" Anyone see what I have done wrong?

If trying to view all topics from the main options menu as a guest user, all the topics shows up like expected. But in the drop-down menu saying "--Select a Forum" at the bottom, the only value there is "ERROR"

Anyone? Please!

One more thing: when pressing the RSS button, I get the following message: "Invalid version number. Error processing resource 'http://www.yagi.no/xoops/modules/newbb/rss.php'. Line 1, Position 16 <?xml version="" encoding=""?> ---------------^"

I suspect this to be a separate issue - but my limited knowledge assures me not...
