Thanks guardian2k1, but I only have one custom html block (just text), and then I have a block listing the most recent 10 post in my wordpress module. - That's it, hardly much to disable, and I still get the error.
Hmm...

In Preferences Main - General Settings, I have "None" in the "Module for your startpage"

XOOPS Version: 2.2.3 Final
PHP Version: 4.3.9
MySQL Version: 4.1.10
Web Server Software: Apache
Default Theme: kubrick

Every now and then (in periods quite frequently) I get a whitepage and the following error in the server error log:

"PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 500001 bytes) in .../web/xoops/class/snoopy/Snoopy.class.php on line 882, referer:http://...../xoops/modules/wordpress/
Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 0 bytes)"

If I wait 5 minutes, and try again, the error is gone, and the page loads OK.

It only seem to happen on the toppage, If I go directly to the modulepages, everything is OK.

I am running on a shared server, so I am not allowed to change the memory_limit in php.ini

What do I do?

Please?

Yes, using the default theme everything seems OK.

MySQL Version: 4.1.10

Default Theme: kubrick (by kavaXtreme)

I still consider myself a XOOPS beginner, so here goes:

At my site, running the kubrick theme, no users can register because thehttp://....../modules/profile/register.php do not show any content. Using the default theme, the registration form is there, but when using the kubrick theme its gone.

I have tried the various debug modes, but it does not give me anything to work on.

Also the usual message when logging in (...click here if the page is not reloaded...) does not show using the kubrick theme. Same goes for the XHLD headlines module.

Could anyone please help me with this?

When I use the kubrick theme, and press "Register now" I get up a page where the centerblock is empty, hence the registration form is not shown. Using the default-theme everything works OK.

This also applies to other pages, such as the XHLD module, the contact form, and for the message that is supposed to be shown when logging in (the one saying "if you're not automatically redirected, please click....")

Is the theme not 2.2 compliant or what is causing this?

I do not get any errors when trying the different debug modes. Could anyone please tell me how to go about to figure this one out?

Installed the "extended profiles" - and now I can see the page using the default theme. When using the theme of my choice, however, it does not display anything. I'm trying to use the kubrick theme compiled by kavaXtreme. (I should perhaps try to file a post under the theme forum on this one...)

XOOPS Version: 2.2.3 Final
PHP Version: 4.3.9
MySQL Version: 4.1.10
Web Server Software: Apache
Default Theme: default

Have deactivated all modules (not system). I have PHP Debug on.

When I try to access the ..../modules/profile/register.php, I get a blank/white/empty page, in my error log I get:

"PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/uda/web/xoops/class/theme.php on line 499, referer:http://www.mysite.com/"
This is in the return statement of the getCachedTemplateId() function.

Generally, I get a lot of blank/white/empty pages after installing 2.2.3 Final. They seem to appear at random occasions. I have seen it after I have done various administrative changes - e.g. changeing the order of blocks, chaning char-set for a module, modifying my theme.html file, etc. "Normally" I have been able to get rid of them, by cleaning up my /templates_c/ dir, and sometimes by clearing browser history. But this one simply wont go away.

I have tried to go by the FAQ entry for this type of problems, but to no luck.

Are somebody please able to give me some help on this one?

Thanks Herko,

I guess you mean the WordPress "Permalinks?"
You are quite right that I use the permalinks settings to rewrite my URL to be more "readable."

Originally I suspected this to be the cause of my error, and deleted the rewrite, but my test showed no improvement, so I went on looking for other causes.

After your advise, I've now deleted the rewrite, and also CLEARED MY FIREFOX PRIVATE DATA.... and that really made the trick. Now, the archives work. Thanks again!

Now my archive URL for january 2006 looks like this:
..../modules/wordpress/?m=200601

Anyway, I think the wordpress permalinks is quite a nice feature, so does anybody know how I go about to make it work with the archives?

Here are my details:

XOOPS Version: 2.2.3 Final
PHP Version: 4.3.9
MySQL Version: 4.1.10
Web Server Software: Apache
Default Theme: kubrick (kavaXtreme)
Xpress version: 1.52 Moon

My website is no finally (due to this fabulous forum) starting to get bug-free. However, I still have a problem with my Xpress module that I have not been able to figure out.

When I click on the monthly archives in my WordPress sidebar, I get a page saying (with bold big letters) "Error 404 - Not Found"

I have tried all the debug-modes, but they do not give me anything to work on.

The URL to the archive (lets say "January 2006") is like this:
..../modules/wordpress/index.php/01/2006/

Could anyone please help me with this?

Thanks Biteronboard. From what I can tell, your change in the theme.html file moves the static content for module at the bottom of the page instead of at the top.

I can see that this actually is a good answer to my question. But, it made me realise that my question was not quite correct.

At the top of my page, I have a custom block (not a module) located at Centerblock-center. Then, below that I have to the left, recent post of my blog, and to the right, latest CBB posts. Now, at the bottom - after this "two-column" row, I would like to place headlines from the XHLD module in the centerblock-center location.

Unlike my first post, I beleive that what I have described this time actually corresponds to the issue. Hope somebody are able to shed some light on this for me (possibly a BIG flashlight needed...)

Sorry for my fuzzy problem description.
