This Hack based on XOOPS 2.0.9.2 Stable and WordBook 1.12.

I tried the hack and it didn't work. It's probably because I could not find "&display" and "&preview" command lines. Is it because I Wordbook V1? Any ideas?

Hi, everybody!

I'd like to know if anyone has ever tried to migrate contents from WF-Section to SoapBox. I've just uploaded the latter to a website I created and realized it's much better than the WF-Section I have been using for an older website.

Right now, I have almost 700 entries with WF-Section... Would it be possible to put them all in SoapBox and make it work?

Thanx for your help!
Rafaela

I have been using Wordbook to keep an index of the content of my website, rather than for creating a glossary. What I would like to know is if there's any way of putting that "Browse By Letter" section on the front page. The only blocks available for such module are about the entries (most recent, most popular...), but I wanted to have the alphabetical list displayed at the top page of my website so that people could browse through its content if they already know exactly what they're looking for.

By the way, my site is about music, more precisely song lyrics, and the url ishttp://translatedlyrics.com

Thanks in advance for you guys help. Keep up with the great work!

I was wondering if there's any way I can display in the top page only the newest terms from one single Wordbook category.

I'm using it athttp://TranslatedLyrics.com to have the A-Z list of lyrics, artists and soundtracks already published on the website, it's working as some sort of index for the site content. The thing is that I wanted the most recent terms to be showed on the top page to come from the artists category only.

Is that possible?

Thanks in advance!

I'm very happy with WFSection, which I'm using to post lyrics and translations on my website (http://TranslatedLyrics.com). I'ts all working fine, but when I go to the administration area for such module and click on the Article Management option, it only displays 10 articles at a time.

I'm planing on posting about 20-40 lyrics a day, so you can imagine how large my list is right now...

But, when I'm on the Article Management section, I can only see in every 10s. I really don't wanna browse through the pages when I have to edit an article. And I'm not keeping in mind the order they have been posted either...

For other modules, I've noticed that on its General Settings you always have the option of tweaking your Module Admin area to display 20, 50, 100 entries, but in WFSection's case, I can't seem to find it...

Does anyone have an answer for that???

Hey, Salazar!

Thanks for the prompt answer and thanks again for the great work with Wordbook.

As I've noticed, some modules accept the code this way:

BlaBlaBla

And others accept the clean html:

<a href="http://blablabla.com">BlaBlaBla</a>

I've tried the first format on Workbook and it didn't seem to work. That's why I'm using the clean html to have links and font style for my entries.

I'll wait suggestions or the updated version of the module.

Thanks and have a great day!

Dear sgshell:

I DO NOT want to change the order of the modules on the top page... I have already worked with their weights and positioned the block modules exactly as I wished. The layout of the top page is fine for me. THIS IS NOT THE QUESTION I HAVE ORIGINALLY POSTED HERE.

NOW, ABOUT MY QUEST:
I want to organize the NAME OF THE MODULES on the MAIN MENU area. My main menu is on the top left of my website and its position is perfect where it is. I DO NOT wish to change its position on the site. I wish to organize the NAME OF THE MODULES it displays.

In other words, this is the order of the options the main menu displays right now:

Home
Artists
Polls
Headlines
Donations
Frozen Bubble
Forum
Contact Us
Links
News
Lyrics
Albums
Image Gallery
Downloads

I would like to have it this way:

Home
Lyrics
Artists
Albums
Image Gallery
Polls
Forum
News
Headlines
Links
Downloads
Donations
Frozen Bubble
Contact Us

What should I do to change the order of these option on the main menu??? This is the third time I ask this question and everybody has responded to me the same way, that is, talking about the weight of the modules, which is something completely different from what I'm talking about... Let's concentrate on the MAIN MENU options...

= = = = = = = = = =

Original post:
I noticed that everytime I activate a module, it appears in the same order on the main menu. What I wanted to know is if there is a way to reorder the menu entries.

*** NOTE ***
I DO NOT mean I'm trying to order the module content on the top page; my question is restricted to the MAIN MENU area...

= = = = = = = = = =

sgshell answer:
goto admin => module => you could see the Modules is weight "1" <===change this to the order you like "1,2,3,4,5...."

Note if you do not want to show it in main menu change it to "0"

Does anyone know why there's an error when the user clicks directly on the letters or category?

First of all, my website ishttp://TranslatedLyrics.com and I've only added two terms to WordBook to check how it works. It's a wonderful module, which I'm using to have an alphabetical list of artists.

Every time you click on the link under "Recent Entries", "Popular Entries" or "Random Term", it works just fine. But whenever you click on a sorting link, that is, on the individual letters of the alphabet or in the categories, the correspondent links appear, but below them there's a message:

<forbiddenbforbidden><forbiddeniforbidden>

I know that this text has something to do with the description of each entrie, but I would like to know if there's anything I can do to correct it...

For an example, check this out:
http://translatedlyrics.com/modules/wordbook/letter.php?init=J

Thanks in advance!
