Did you find a solution? I would like the same functionality: only allowing the listing owner to request changes.

So, I'm guessing the answer is "no"?

I will just make sure that I comment all my hacks for later location - because I know I won't remember them.

Thanks!

Overriding Files?

There are various "hacks" I want to implement in my XOOPS site. My fear though is that these will all be lost when I upgrade to the next version of Xoops. Is there any method to override files using a theme or something? For instance, in the general.php file that specifies the time / date display style - changes there will be lost in an upgrade. What is the suggested method of dealing with this? I believe Mambo allows you to pretty much over ride any file within your theme. Is there something similar in Xoops?

Thanks!

I have a potential client that would like to display service & pricing info that is specific to the zip code the web user enters.

Anyone have any suggestions on whether or not this can be done with XOOPS and how? Thanks!

I have used phpBB quite a bit. I know the features you mention, and would miss them quite a bit. So - keep up the good work! I look forward to the release!

Will the XOOPS search work on the phpBB module like it does with the standard forums?

I haven't used the standard XOOPS forums much yet, what are the benefits of phpBB over them?

Thanks!

Looks cool. How easy will it be to upgrade phpBB once you have it installed as a module?

I just tried installing Mambo on MediaTemple and had a bunch of problems trying to install modules due to the fact that they have Safe Mode on.

Does anyone have any experience running XOOPS on MediaTemple's shared accounts, or under Safe Mode?

I need to be able to run Agenda-X, xDirectory and a few of the standard modules as well.

Thanks!!!

Need help or suggestions for integrating xdirectory and Agenda-x!

I need xdirectory and Agenda-x integrated like this:

Every event is linked to a specific listing in xdirectory.

xoops_xdir_links.lid = xoops_agendax_events.?

Display of events in Agenda-X is then context sensitive to your location within the xDirectory. For example, if you are on:

The Homepage = Agenda-X displays all events.

Restaurants Category = Agenda-X display all events tied to listings within the restaurants category.

Joe's Cafe Listings = Agenda-X only displays events at Joe's Cafe.

I also need the "modify listing" option in xdirectory to allow listing owners to add / edit / delete events associated with their listing.

Any suggestion?

Justin
