I almost hestiate to tell you this, but I think I did it but looking the SQL tables, and figuring out the forum id of the right forum, and then editing the forumpost table and set it to the forum i wanted.

Now thats probably not for the faint hearted.

but from a admin point of view, none that I know of.

you might want to update your system module, and/or look into general preference/reload templates to yes.

(but turn that off again after your ready to go live.)

It's been awhile since I tinkered with the colors and fonts. But I'm sure it's through the style sheets

The templates guide how things are output, the themes decide what color and size they are when they are output.

To be put it simply.

I believe you need to tinker with the style sheets in your chosen theme?

I believe! that if you tinker with the 'style.css' in your chosen theme, you can change anything you like?

set the 'weight' value

It moves them up and down, small weight value and they float to the top.

First are you referring to news blocks or the main news page. Just want to be sure.

I suspect if xoops.org has a block that you like, it is one of the blocks supplied with the news modules (but not being sure which one you are referring to) it's hard to say.

Have you looked at admin/blocks section to see which 'news' block are there?

Just a thought, but did you deactivate it, then un-install it, and then re-install it?

While not Moodle or course management there is a myTutorial module in beta, and actively being developed.

Tutorial module in download section

EDIT: In retrospect, after looking at the demo site, this seems more of content management rewrite of other modules, I may be wrong.
